Cuyahoga Falls (pop: 49,374) is the second largest city in Summit County and is older than Akron. Originally chosen as the county seat, the state intervened and called for a public vote which gave Akron the honor. Today, the river city has converted its main street into a pedestrian plaza and created a unique (and rather odd) downtown.
