Mansfield (pop: 49,346; metro: 175,818) is the county seat of Richland County in the southwestern portion of Northeast Ohio (if that makes sense). Known as the Carousel Capital of the World, Mansfield is a blue-collar town with a very quaint downtown, a Carousel Museum, a ski resort, state parks, The Ohio State Reformatory (the prison where The Shawshank Redemption was filmed) and the gorgeous Kingwood Center (estate).
