• Winchester (pop. 16,724), founded in 1793, is one of Kentucky's oldest cities. Located east of Lexington in the Appalachian foothills, Winchester is the home of Kentucky's only two elevated sidewalks (High on Main) and the Bluegrass Heritage Museum.
