Camp Washington is in the industrial heart of the city, the Mill Creek Valley. The neighborhood is poor although very productive. Home of Proctor & Gamble, Sara Lee, and various other factories, Camp Washington is the blue collar side of Cincinnati. Mostly detached rowhouses and townhomes, the neighborhood is very urban and is famous for Camp Washington Chili, arguably the best in the city. The neighborhood got its name from its history as an army camp during the Mexican War. An excellent place to look for grit and industry in Cincinnati.
