Mt. Lookout is one of the safest and cozy neighborhoods in the city. Full of young professionals, Mt. Lookout is also a family neighborhood with various recreational activities including the landmark Ault Park, with its stunning pavilion (a popular scene for weddings) and overlooks. Mt. Lookout Square is the home of bars including the big bar itself, Mt. Lookout Tavern (or MLT for short), bakeries, ethnic restaurants, shops, and Mt. Lookout Cinema, a restaurant/movie theater. The Cincinnati Observatory is the oldest in the country and is located next door to Ault Park. Mt. Lookout is primarily made up of Tudor homes in the upper sections and wood-frame double-deckers in the lower sections. Newer subdivisions have been built in the hillsides in the central section.   Â
