Fairview Heights, Clifton Heights, & University Heights are collectively known as the Heights (or CUF for short). Each neighborhood is an assortment of rowhouses (attached and detached), townhomes, apartments, commercial strips, and parks. The home of the University of Cincinnati, the Calhoun/McMillan commercial hub, and the most gentrification in the city, the Heights are a neighborhood with a rich past and an ever richer future. With many projects under construction and planned, the Heights will be one of the focuses of the city for some time. Locally, another name of the Heights, Corryville, parts of Avondale, and Clifton is Uptown. The neighborhood also has an outstanding amount of schools of architectural merit including the Fairview Middle School and Hughes High School, one of the best terra cotta Collegiate Tudor buildings in the country.  Â
