As the Admins and Mods have always said - if there’s a tangential discussion that starts taking things off topic, anyone is welcome to create their own thread specific to that. It’s not the issue of one or two off topic posts, it’s the inevitable pile on that follows and that’s usually when we have to dole out suspensions, etc. We’re more than happy to facilitate a separate thread for discussing architecture of built (or in the case of SW, almost finished) structures. The forum over at skyscraperpage.com has a thread just for those discussions. With that, if people truly feel like the removal of a post is unjustified, the best approach is to send a PM. Keeping in mind the Admins and Mods aren’t compensated for their time and effort to keep this place going for 20+ years. Having a disrespectful attitude from the get go, with someone you don’t know, who might be dealing with issues far more deep than a few words posted on a forum - probably not going to do much to win people over. If it’s too much to ask forumers to be respectful, there’s always the option to create their own forum, we wish them the best. *I should add - there are plenty of times we’ve been in agreement with a post (or partial agreement) but because of the derailment potential, it unfortunately has to go.- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Folks, we all know what they say about opinions so let’s keep it on topic with actual construction updates. As someone mentioned, the site plan’s merits or lack thereof, have been exhaustively discussed upthread and nothing posted recently is bringing anything new or profound to the conversation.- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters

Maybe not 78’ but keep in mind the difference in the Euclid/Superior entrances to both the Arcade and 200 Public Square.- Cleveland: Local Media News & Discussion
@KJPI think it just comes across as an #okboomer, tacky, spiteful unnecessary swipe, but wish I could say I'm surprised. There have been some wonderfully talented people there (Michelle Jarboe immediately comes to mind) who made an effort to be - if not more engaged with their readers, at least approachable to people like us who are passionate about all the things we enjoy on this forum. Imagine if those in the other camp actually made an effort to connect with their readership or at the very least, not have an arrogant/beyond reproach vibe when "outsiders" like us make an attempt to connect. Who knows, maybe collaboration with someone outside their bubble could result in a net positive? There are a lot of things I love about this city/region but the big fish/small pond silo mentality that certain people in certain industries continue to perpetuate is beyond tiresome.- CLEVELAND - Terminal Tower Observation Deck, February 11, 2024
Been meaning to get up there for a while, but with the Sherwin Williams building crown shaping up, that was the kick in the keister that I needed. Not sure of the rationale, but the deck is now open from 3-7 on Saturdays and Sundays (for the longest time it was noon to 3ish/4ish). It was a bit overcast but the sun eventually started to come out - I actually don't mind a bit of overcast weather, it tends to help diffuse the light resulting in less harsh shadows, etc.- Cleveland: Scranton Peninsula: Development and News

A few photos from the Terminal Tower observation deck (I'll be posting a full set in City Photos, but cross-posting here). Any of our renderings ninja-rockstars want to use these to mock up HQ2 and maybe something over the parking entrance adjacent to the Renaissance, have at it with my blessing.- Cleveland: Duck Island: Development and News
Asking out of genuine curiosity aka I don’t know what I don’t know. I get the retaining wall as these are going in not too far from Irishtown Bend. Is there any concern about water runoff/flooding from the top/hardscape around Waterford Bluffs, etc.? Any engineering folks, please enlighten me if that’s a thing 🤔- Cleveland: Retail News
Continuing the discussion about All Things 4 U from the Ohio City development thread, for anyone poopoo-ing them about a parking lot being a selling point, consider their business model. We’re not talking about a spot where people come in and pick up a 40 ounce and some scratch offs, they sell vintage furniture. Any y’all ever try to carry an Eames chair or Noguchi coffee table a few blocks in inclement weather?- Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
This discussion should be continued over in the retail thread.- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
So not only would my husband not come to a stop on the innerbelt during rush hour, he wouldn’t even sideswipe the white SUV so I could get a better pic! 🙄😂- Cleveland: Downtown: Skyline 776 (City Club Apartments)
You do realize I was specifically referring to the (very clearly) heterosexual males scoffing at a female’s choice of footwear, and not the building finishes? Good lord, have none of you met a GenX Gold Star Gay? 🌈- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Yep, the tee shirt shops better start updating their inventory 😁- Cleveland: Downtown: Skyline 776 (City Club Apartments)
Thanks for sharing the interior photos - yeah, can't say they ooze ultra-luxury but I don't think that's the vibe behind this anyway. As far as the armchair fashion critics - pray tell, are you typing your comments from your desk next to the closet full of Kohls and Stein Mart clearance bin apparel?- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Guess I was getting quite a bit of cabin fever - most forecasts I saw were calling for a cloudy day. Definitely not the case and not complaining but at a balmy 36F I figured I'd bundle up and snap a few pics.- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters

“Coming soon” sign for All Things for U (vintage store) is up at the former Kolodiy-Sobczk funeral home in Tremont. West 14th and Rowley Their website says their Lorain Avenue location is temporarily closed.- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Maaaybe just a slight delay, just so they’re not taking it down on a certain May day which may happen to be a certain someone’s birthday. 😉 Bonus pic of the sunrise from the office.- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Actual image of the security setup they’ll be using to deter loitering.- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
I’d like to see something along the lines of Pickard Chilton’s project - The 8 in Bellevue Washington. Sort of a structural expressionist vibe but would pair well with the main tower and our industrial heritage.- Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
