Anyone with experience in contract review and risk management specifically in the Architecture and Engineering field, please contact me via private message.
  2. Any construction crew with any sense of risk management awareness pays close attention to the weather, and I’m pretty sure that’s the case here. Every forecast I’m seeing is saying 50mph - still plenty to be concerned with, but in perspective when the outer bands of Hurricane Sandy hit us, the highest recorded was around 70mph. I remember all too well because I was on the Main Avenue bridge trying to keep a Mini Cooper from getting flung into the Cuyahoga 😬
  3. Nope, it’s East 22nd - the church at East 30th has a somewhat similar style but different proportions. https://clevelandhistorical.org/items/show/239
  4. Yet you don't post any photos?!? BANNED!!!
  5. Wow. Just WOW. “Found a spot for her” - yes, how charitable of them as she clearly hasn’t been one of the best around and perfecting her career and craft 🙄 Also, saying Crain’s is just a print company is right up there with saying Sherwin-Williams only sells house paint.
  6. Now, now - let’s not get too critical 😉
  7. Sorry to hear about this - I don’t know much about it but would the YMCA at the Galleria be an option?
  8. I created a gym/fitness club and services thread in the City Life section to keep things on topic here.
  9. 14 years is a really good run for any kind of business, but especially a coffee shop with a niche retail component in this neighborhood. I know a few new local spots have opened up so maybe that was cutting into their profits? That said, I’m thinking there’s more to the story given the abrupt announcement and how former employees are sharing their experience.
  10. Already posted in the Cleveland Restaurants section.
  11. Loop coffee shop in Tremont abruptly closed, and based on comments from former employees there was absolutely no heads up given. Article from Cleveland Magazine
  12. Looks like the last days for this historic home on Edgewater (11202).
  13. As I said way back in the day, this tower was going to be “thicc” (any Millennials or Gen Z folks, please help me stay hip or whatever it is y’all call it now).
  14. The building is in decent shape but could use some repairs the current owners wouldn’t commit to (one of several reasons for Oswald’s move to 950 Main.) The floor plates are rectangular as opposed to square like 1717 at the other end of the block, but deep enough I think a conversion could work. Most downtown amenities are in walking distance, there’s already a fitness center, and attached parking garage. Views from the upper floors are great - as you’re all used to, here’s the view from the 15th floor cafe/lunchroom.
  15. A photo or two from Schaff Road, University Road (Towpath), Lorain-Carnegie Bridge and Carter Road.
  16. Yep, this was announced last night at the annual year end meeting. I joined the company about a month after they moved to 1100 Superior; looking forward to the new digs but going to be a bit of a trek to get to the usual lunch spots. When they made the announcement, the general vibe was positive.
  17. My thoughts exactly, I know real estate lives and breathes hyperbole, but this seems like an invitation for a cease and desist.
