Mingo Junction, Ohio
What is it about Ming Junction that you love? I have always found this area of the state extremely depressing. It's just sad to see a town that was probably kicking butt back in the day fall on such hard times. I have to say that "downtown" Mingo Junction and most of the residential areas don't appeal to me. Mind you I haven't done an exhaustive tour but what I saw was a sad, rundown small town along the Ohio River. The ginormous mills, are a different story - they aren't "pretty" but architecturally speaking, they're impressive structures.

A Ceramic Plate of CLE or Ohio
I recommend giving them a call first, they may have something but if they don't they'll probably know someone who does - 216.241.2011. Website is http://www.theonlyclevelandstore.com/ I have one of these plates (and have no plans to sell it); it's pretty cool - shows a few of the landmarks of the city: http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Cleveland-Ohio-Souvenir-Plate-Public-Square-/380257964756?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0#ht_666wt_913

Still more 80's Cleveland
"The modern building that's just beyond it is the McDonald Investment Center." fka McDonald Investment Center; it's been KeyBank Center for a while.

What happened to Real NEO?
It's a good example of why the Admins and Mods at UrbanOhio keep pruning posts/threads that are better suited to an individual's blog.

Great job, RnR - I voted for you!- CLEVELAND - Still here
Yeah yeah, I'm still around; not able to get out as much to take photos so I put together a thread of some here, there, and everywhere. Hope you enjoy :-)- East Palestine, Ohio
Looks like it hasn't changed much since the last time I was through there (1991).- Cleveland: Warehouse District: Development and News
Note the spelling folks - 620 Frankfort was Numbers (a gay club) for quite some time - I want to say the late 80s to the mid-90s. It then became Atlantis (still a gay club) for a year or so. Then it became Hydra (a strip club), then Motion (another strip club). As to what "Numbr's" is, who knows?- Sebring, Ohio
I know Sebring very well - not a whole lot to it but they do have some gems (the B&B before the new addition; the Strand theatre). Of course, some may know it as the hometown of Viktor Schreckengost http://www.viktorschreckengost.org/ Thanks for posting!- Canton - New Federal building and miscellaneous
"I could probably post more but I am probably entertaining myself mostly." Actually no - I think a lot of people would like to see more (myself included) :-)- MayDay - Regarding Suspensions (Response to Rankings Thread)
First things first - just in case anyone thinks otherwise - I'm not the owner; I'm one of several Admins. "this site may not be such a headache to run for you if you guys relaxed a little bit and stopped being so rigid." I've been a Moderator on a site that did just that - and it's gone to pot. Everyone thought it'd be a great idea to just let things go a little - within a month it was overrun. "they receive an email, so they have an opportunity to responded if needed." That's a nice idea, but in reality there are so many times when threads need to be shut down faster than immediately and offenders need to be suspended asap before situations escalate even further. It isn't just what one forumer posts, it's the dozen or so followup posts that also need to be dealt with. The Admins and Mods don't have the luxury to sit around and wait for someone to try to justify why they made an offensive post. It's a hell of a lot easier if forumers wouldn't make such posts in the first place :-) I'm not sure why there's selective reading going on here: "You don't always see what happens behind the scenes - you don't know who all gets suspended, or reprimanded. It isn't done arbitarily, we have a process that gets input from as many Admins/Mods as reasonably possible."- Chicago gets Destroyed
Suspension or gutted like a fish... SAME THING :-x- Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
TBideon, I agree that it'd be great if the bar owners could organize and maintain some standards of decency but it's the business and rest assured it's not just Cleveland - 98% of the time, a bar/club opens high-end and caters to said clientele, then falls out of favor and the owners then scramble to stay relevant and get people in the door. Now take a street with a dozen or so owners who all got into the business for whatever reason (some to have a cool place, others to make a quick buck) and try to get them all to agree to not have 18+ nights, etc.- Off Topic
Pugs MayDay, you gotta' keep Pugs MayDay leashed! ;) On a very short leash! Corrected that for you! LMAO!- East Livingston Ave, Columbus
I'm guessing (as someone of Appalachian descent) that "Mountain Mama" is a reference to the following (at :48): Yeah, don't judge me for knowing that. :x- Tower City Shots (Observation deck and 18th floor)

Not sure if they're built yet: http://www.cbhunter.com/Property/OH/44113/Cleveland/2379_7- Photography/Permissions and Copyright discussion
^Technically you don't *have* to get permission for footage of a public landmark but if it's going to be the focus of whatever, it's probably a good idea to clear it with the building owners. Now, if you refer to the building by name and it's a trademarked name/title, that's where the legal area gets a little gray. Once you start selling images of a specific building for profit - *that's* where securing permission is paramount. The Rock Hall sued a photographer for selling posters of a photo that only showed the Rock Hall, with the title "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame". http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/bridge/Philosophy/murray.htm- Cleveland: TV / Film Industry News
'Hot in Cleveland' has been picked up for a second season :-) http://www.cleveland.com/tv-blog/index.ssf/2010/07/tv_land_renews_hot_in_cleveland_for_20_more_episodes.html- Help, I got two driving citations
