  1. @Boomerang_Brianthanks again for coordinating, and thanks again to everyone who came out, hope you all had a great time. Looking forward to the next get together, hope everybody has a wonderful rest of the year 👍
  2. Speaking as a jaded Gen X’r who is an early riser but not a morning person who’s only had half a cup of coffee, and someone who has been in the marketing world for over 30 years, you couldn’t be more correct with your last statement. There are a lot of stupi … dum… ehhh, let’s just say poorly informed people out there. 😉
  3. Friendly reminder this isn’t a private development with private funds. The primary function of this fencing is to keep people from trespassing in the interest of risk management, along with obstructing views of construction equipment which is always a concern for theft. I don’t disagree that it would be nice to see something like the renderings but I’d rather taxpayer money be spent on getting the job done.
  4. Agreed with roman specific to CPK and this time of year is typically when restaurants/store closures happen. Plus, what do we expect when every other suburb decides it wants to be the next Beachwood or Westlake and it has to have a mall/lifestyle center? Except each one of those suburbs are located in a low growth region, drawing on a stagnant pool of diners and shoppers, and it’s the luck of the draw as to what anchor tenants each place gets. Add in online shopping, the pandemic, the economy, etc. and the fact our region was said to be over retailed before all this, as unpleasant as it is, I see it more as an overdue correction.
  5. KJP usually posts a bomb meme and eventually follows up with the article. I for one appreciate the heads up - at 51, I need to brace myself so the old ticker doesn’t go into arrest. 😆
  6. Not the loveliest weather but it’s what I got.
  7. Will try to snap a few photos tomorrow.
  8. Folks, if you want to discuss other city’s skylines, please create a new thread.
  9. Merwins is a great spot, they have THE best pretzel (fight me) - but the seating is really limited if we get a good turnout, and it gets loud with the glass garage doors. It’s also a schlep from any nearby transit stops - any chance we could revisit Forest City? It’s just up the hill and they did a great job accommodating us when we needed more seating.
  10. Please don’t give him any ideas - he’s already tried to install an ejection seat! 😳😆
  11. Just a phone photo, and of course my husband wouldn’t stop in the middle of the Innerbelt so I could get a better shot 🙄🙄😆
  12. Cross posted from Sherwin Williams thread.
  13. You can start to see the angle forming on the crown.
  14. Generally speaking, around 350-400 feet if they go with the floating concrete pad approach. Apologies for the reflections, just a phone pic from a Lyft ride.
  15. Not that I want to keep going off topic, but agreed - my husband usually plans the flights for our trips and I’ve put my cloven hoof down. Any flights over 2.5 hours are on any airline other than Frontier; Spirit gets an extra half hour with that extra layer of a paper towel they call “cushion”.
