Pet Peeves!
"there is no such thing as a stupid question...", believe me, there is such a thing. If someone has already explained something, but you didn't bother to pay attention and then ask about it a few minutes (or a few posts later when it happens on UO) it is a stupid question and I feel I should have the right to mock you for it." Amen, amen, glory hallelujah amen to that!!!

Burning River Roller Girls (Cleveland)
Serious question - is it anything like this, or is it slower-paced and free from elbowing/shoving? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jfDDAlWW6Q

Alright, looking up at LeVeque: And the eventual destination for official business, the upper floors of the Vern Riffe Center: And inbound during inclement weather: Another photographer: The Wyandotte Building - at some point I want to kidnap this and put it in Cleveland's Warehouse District: And some shots from the upper floors of the Vern Riffe Center - pardon the reflections, I wanted to ask them to turn the lights off but security issues, yada yada: Annnd back down on the ground: And the requisite shot: No clue what this building is: Atlas, at last!- Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
OUCH! First the fitness center at One Cleveland Center closed, now this: Forum Conference Center in downtown Cleveland closes abruptly By Michelle Jarboe, The Plain Dealer January 14, 2010, 6:15PM The Forum Conference Center, one of Cleveland's largest venues for meetings, has closed after nearly 20 years in business. The 30,000-square-foot conference center shut its doors Dec. 31. Now the owner of One Cleveland Center, the chisel-shaped building at East Ninth Street and St. Clair Avenue, is puzzling over what to do with the Forum's space on the second and third floors. And several businesses and groups, many of them in downtown Cleveland, are scrambling for new places to hold employee training seminars, annual meetings and other events. http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2010/01/forum_conference_center_in_dow.html- Off Topic
I don't envy you - it was bad enough being required to attend "forced fun" events, I can't imagine trying to plan one :-\- Pet Peeves!

Welcome to the forum; I live in Cleveland but my best galpal from Cincy lived in an apartment above Bella Luna - said it was a pretty good place!- Cleveland Area: American Greetings HQ relocation?
^Just curious - how busy/active is the distribution component of the HQ? I know a lot of people would love to see AG move downtown but correct me if I'm wrong - a big reason AG located in Brooklyn (as well as the PDs printing facilities) is the proximity of I-480. It'd be hard to imagine an ideal site downtown if AG needs a large truck marshalling yard/loading dock area, right?- Chlorine in water
Oh for god's sake, whether it's chlorinated water, a runaway bus, an axe murderer, a blocked artery, or an exploded liver, *something* at *some* point is going to make all of us drop dead and become worm fodder.- Cleveland Area: American Greetings HQ relocation?
This oughta be interesting; from cleveland.com American Greetings may pull its world headquarters out of Brooklyn, Ohio By Janet Cho, The Plain Dealer January 07, 2010, 1:13PM BROOKLYN, Ohio -- American Greetings Corp., the nation's largest publicly held greeting card manufacturer, is exploring moving its global headquarters from Brooklyn to another community in Northeast Ohio with lower taxes. In an internal memo sent to employees on Wednesday, the company said that because the City of Brooklyn had increased its payroll taxes 25 percent, to 2.5 percent from 2.0 percent, "we are launching a study to consider whether or not we should move the company's world headquarters to another location." I'm sure I have something more recent; once we get a heatwave (you know, in the 30s) I'll try to get out and snap some more shots. Anyway, the finishes in Chinato look great - glad to see that key space finally getting filled! - I went somewhere. I took photos.
