Cleveland Browns Discussion
Apparently Braylon Edwards knocked up one of my favorite contestants on 'America's Next Top Model': From newsnet5.com: A former "America's Next Top Model" contestant is reportedly suing former Browns wide receiver Braylon Edwards for up to $70,000 a month in child support. The New York Post reported that 25-year-old Nik Pace gave birth to Edwards' son in August. The article says Edwards filed in Atlanta to be recognized as the boy's father, but Pace objected and sued for child support in New York. More at http://www.newsnet5.com/sports/22007770/detail.html

Ohio: Residency Rule Requirement
I have to agree with X - not saying that an exodus is inevitable but it's too soon to be able to make an accurate analysis.

Thread Closures / Locked Issues & Questions
Try it again and let me know if you get that. I'm pretty sure I fixed the post that triggered that. What happened was someone posted an image that was directly linked to yesonissue3.com and once that site (pardon my lack of knowledge of technical terms) realized someone was trying to access that site's assets, it prompted the log-on dialog box.

Photos of Cleveland
"MayDay is the master of Cleveland photography...I'm a novice...I've already told him that." I prefer to use the phrase "humbly confident" and I sincerely think you should too - sure, I've spent a lot of time taking photos of Cleveland (11 years), paying absurdly-geeky attention to things like angles, lighting, time of day, weather, etc., and yeah I manage to get good shots, and a few here and there are photos that make me think "d@mmmn, I guess I do get some good ones!", and most of all I've been fortunate to get access to places that not many others have. Anyway, maybe the angle/lighting/whatever wasn't the best, but I know that what I saw in that moment was enough to make me stop and say "THAT gets my attention". I know I post a lot of photo threads but there's nothing I'd love more than to see what others see in this city - especially when it's clear they "get it". :-) For example: Fixed bridges, movable bridges; fixed transit, mobile transit... It's saying something when I'm wondering "where was this?" - and I realize it's an angle in the Warehouse District I've never stumbled upon - never mind the parking, the way the buildings create a interesting patchwork: It doesn't get more iconic than this: For this shot, you'd have to know the stories behind each building - but if you don't, you have a great shot of Public Square to Playhouse Square: As you said, the Hermit Club is truly a gem: And when you can make some of the ugliest buildings in Cleveland look shiny/sleek/appealing, you *know* you caught a great moment:

Actually that's the "oooh, the human is holding treats!!!" look. And my partner thinks I'm a loon but I'm convinced those two are the Paris Hilton/Nicole Richie (during the good years) of the doggie social circuit.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Apparently not all RTA drivers give a sh!t about safety and I have to wonder - if RTA could get the rogue dipsh!ts under control, might they be able to spare some routes from being cut? I try and try and try to say that RTA deserves our utmost support BUT... Perfect example this evening, light-to-medium complected African-American male with close cropped/shaved hair driving the 79A/Parmatown westbound at the intersection of West 6th/Prospect/Superior (Rockefeller Building/State Office Building - site of a *previous* fatal accident) - bus #2409, at approximately 5:05-5:10pm. Light turned red WELL before he proceeded into the intersection - instead this jack@ss honks his horn and PLOWS through a red light - thank god the pedestrians who were crossing Superior and the motorists coming from Prospect saw him. This m'fer needs pulled off the road before he kills someone - I mean, just cause you honk doesn't justify vehicular homicide so you can keep on schedule.

Cleveland: Cleveland Museum of Art Expansion / Renovation
I'm going to guess the atrium - the west wing will probably start (just guessing) further back in the photo - maybe near the striped Breuer section on the right?

Cleveland: Downtown: Euclid & 9th Tower / Schofield Building Redevelopment
From the City of Cleveland Planning Commission site, I presume provided by Sandvick Architects. Pardon my saying so, but holy sh!t will this look incredible*!!! It looks like they won't be restoring the clock tower, but I can live with that. *Presuming they can get everything together. :-)

"There is nothing worse than a grown man with a fu-fu pet. That just grinds my gears!" Let's see: Certain foo-foo breeds = bred to live a life of leisure, usually as pets of royalty. Most non-foo-foo breeds = bred to hunt/kill/retrieve their owners' dinner (and their own). Thanks, I'll take my foo-foo babies anyday!

Okay, there's absolutely no kind of kitchen - fine. Okay, he tried a Murphy bed but that didn't work because he can't afford food for a proper diet didn't weigh enough to hold it down - fine. But "taller friends have been unable to close the bathroom door if they need to sit."? That's f#cking disgusting and wrong.- My neighbor's "lovely" Christmas decorations-Dayton, OH-Eastern Hills

"Thanks I'm going to pop the question next month in the Guarding Building in Downtown Detroit (I think). I actually met her through my brother." As the HBIC, I hereby order that when you pop the question - get down on one knee. And congratulations! :-)- Cleveland- Ohio City
Just curious, what time did you take these? Nice shots, and I think I recognize a certain person in one of the pics. ;-)- Cleveland: Flats East Bank
I'll wait until I see a tower crane putting something together on this one ;-)- Does it matter where you go to school?
There's a big difference (well, several) between a community college and a branch campus of a university. I went to a branch campus for my first two years, then transferred to main campus - I don't have a single regret about not enduring dorm life, and saved a sh!tload of money going that route. The quality of education was on par with main campus as well - most of my instructors were based at main campus.- Off Topic
Simply put, if the Admins of that forum had a brain in their head, they'd readily cooperate with any sort of subpoena - including one demanding information such as IP addresses, etc. I can tell you that if *we* (Admins of UrbanOhio) were in that situation, we wouldn't hesitate to provide the perp's info.- AsiaTown Cleveland
