Cleveland: Demolition Watch
"Not that I want this house to be demoed, but I've heard some pretty bad things about this guy and how he's let this house go while he was very much in the position to keep it up. It is hearsay, but I did it hear it from a good source." While I'm sure we've all heard a lot, I don't know that any discussion of hearsay (from reliable sources or not) is going to result in anything productive. The "discussion" of the situation on tremonter.com unfortunately resulted in a lot of mudslinging (from ALL perspectives) and conspiracy theories. That will NOT be happening on my watch.

"I've done my best to not sound the trumpet about the bars that Zack has frequented ... I always say to every closet case their own" Mind you - I only said that he was out in public at said places. ;-)

As of this morning, the house was half-demolished. :-|

Cleveland: Demolition Watch
Back the f#ck up - did you see THIS?!? Cobb & Bradley Block and Acme Store Fixtures Building 5607 – 5613 Euclid Avenue Emergency demolition I never thought I'd be agreeing with CTownsFinest but there's a time for everything I guess. Maybe someone at the Cleveland Restoration Society can get on this, instead of dropping the ball like they did with the Breuer Tower.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
^While it's obviously in the best interests of everyone (RTA *and* riders) to make sure fares are being collected, etc. - give me a break.

"Come on now, you're above those petty type insults. Yeah, he's a complete dick but for other reasons" It's common and public knowledge that he used to hang out at the Grid (in addition to other clubs) from time to time. That's not a petty insult, that's a fact.

I guess it's good that Zack is on the wagon again; I don't think he'd be very welcome in the clubs he used to frequent.

Ohio LGBTQ+ News
The hypocrisy and racial division displayed by not only the council members who voted against the registry (all black, fyi), but the pastors who claim tax-exempt status but ignore any notion of the separation of church and state should hang their bigoted heads in shame.

Cleveland Rail Question
^There's also the option (not necessarily a faster/more convenient option, but a cheaper option for sure) of taking MegaBus from Cleveland to Chicago. http://www.megabus.com

Pet Peeves!
"when a lot of women started dressing sloppy/like guys, getting bad haircuts, gaining a bunch of weight..." Okay, you've just named another pet peeve of mine ;-) Actually, my biggest pet peeves with that are the gals who let themselves go, don't wear makeup, don't do anything with their hair, don't accessorize, and have the unmitigated gall to complain that guys don't approach them. And same goes for guys, I guess! The "princess" BS... well, I say if the gal takes decent care of herself, she's entitled to a reasonable amount of 'tude. :-)

Pet Peeves!
Oh if we're going THAT route... shinny instead of shiny quite instead of quiet intensive purposes instead of intents and purposes And the ever popular: Unnecessary apostrophe and 's', usually found on printed handwritten signage. Unnecessary prepositions - probably the most common grammatical mistake on the forum (i.e. "where is that AT?")

^I fully admit that I'm a "ladies first" on the elevator kind of guy but I stay well out of the doorway. As to the other point, there's never been a "contest" because I think a lot of the guys in my building were raised by wolves. I get a sick pleasure out of holding the door for the ladies, and when some ogre barges in before everybody and I happily announce "Ladies first!" - the women alternately scowl at the pig and say "aw, what a gentleman!" to me. :-D

The 80s
Yes and no - yes because there was so much of an over-the-top mentality to anything and everything in pop culture. It was also an incredibly frightening time as well - when AIDS hit, it was initially called GRID - Gay-Related Immunodeficiency Disease, because of the alarming amount of gay men who contracted HIV (and why a Cleveland club would ever name "The Grid" is beyond me). It used to be that someone could screw around and hope they didn't catch a nuisance STD; all of a sudden, sex became potentially lethal.

The 80s
Actually, Cathy Dennis had a few good songs (say otherwise and I'll stab you in the eye with a rusty fork), but she really found success as a songwriter - "Toxic" by Britney Spears, "Can't Get You Out of My Head" by Kylie Minogue, and recently "I Kissed A Girl" by Katy Perry. And yeah, I guess aside from "Never Gonna Give You Up", I'll concede that poor Rick didn't do much else.

Already, enough of the tit-for-tat. Blue Line, take a day and simmer down - and learn to agree to disagree.

How the routes should be planned and etc. in Cleveland? Or another city?
-
Cleveland: VA Hospital Expansion
^I think the building under construction is separate from the earlier renderings - aka VA is taking over the block! Also, StrapHanger, I'll have you know that the West 14th/Steelyard/71/176 roundabout has a trademark/copyright on "Vortex of Death"; the circle you're describing is "Suicide Circle". ;-)

Are you asking for information as a potential user of the Circulators in Cleveland, or are you asking for information such as how to plan routes, etc?
