Not that I would suggest we forget history, but this isn’t the thread for discussing the “downfall of the Flats” or conspiracy theories that take the thread off topic. Anyone is free to continue that discussion in the appropriate place- feel free to create a new thread if need be.

A few years back, the gray house (visible to the left of the beige house) had a substantial renovation and addition that I believe included a deck and large second floor and third floor windows with unobstructed views of downtown. Oops!

Site work (including demolition of a single family house) for the Driftwood apartment complex has started at Fairfield and West 11th.

^Wouldn’t want to waste all that crane, though 😉

Weather notwithstanding, the view from the office lunch room is looking better every day 👍

I’ll be there closer to 5:30ish; regarding the coding club, 1. Most groups like that use the back area closer to the brewing vats that’s designated for private parties and 2. good to know there will be a group waaay geekier than us! 😆

I’ve been adding the copyright line* for about 23 years now 😊 *Technically it’s not needed (a photo is the intellectual property of the photographer the moment the shutter/button is clicked), but gets the message across. I’ve sent out at least a dozen cease and desists over the years to people trying use my images for profit without getting permission. 🤬
