  1. I guess I know *I* am spending my lunch hour - get 'em ready! :drunk:
  2. ""One guy came in wanting Wiseman's help to save 12 separate properties," many of which he bought on speculation, entirely on credit with none of his own cash invested." Thanks to idiots like this, we're all getting dragged down. Folks, if you don't *think* you could afford it without absurd incentives, don't buy it. Was I the only one raised with the idea of "living within your means"?

Funny that you mention that - my galpal and I had "Christmas Fitzgeralds" yesterday - a black-and-tan style concoction made with Christmas Ale and Edmund Fitzgerald. Beautiful thing indeed! :drunk:

I guess you'll never know, bwhahahahah!!! J/K, yes - but things/life have been too busy (until now) to implement it, make announcements, etc. Stay tuned! :-)

"2007 - The colors aren't final. My wife and I are arg... um, discussing about what they'll be." Just remember - happy wife = happy life. I think the colors look great - but don't quote me on that, especially if she doesn't like them
  6. Don't MAKE me get whimsical on yo @ss! :whip:
  7. Speaking of downtown trolleys, Rebecca on the B-Line (12:20ish, ID 100442 - I think) is just a downright pleasant operator. Even when some stupid gal blindly walked across Lakeside at East 9th (against the light), Rebecca took it all in stride. She was also very knowledgeable about the Avenue District, telling a rider who asked that "those are going to be nice condos; it's good to have some residential in the downtown, it's good for business."
  8. "You can't get the truth from the paper or the news." You also can't get it from your posts - copius amounts of misinformation, yes; a spectacular display of ignorance, absolutely; but truth from your posts? We're waiting with baited breath, chief.
  9. ^Something tells me with the cache associated with winning Iron Chef, he'll be able to put the daring stuff on the menu. I do wonder how many people will make a special trip to Cleveland to try Lola or Lolita - foodies are a devoted bunch, after all.
  10. Too funny - the guy on the right (his DJ name is Jonathon Something) was a year behind me in school; his dad was my 7th grade geography teacher!

"No one wants to live or work next to a jail." Umm, the Cuyahoga County Justice Center is located catty-corner to Key Tower. The $1-billion project slated for the Warehouse District is across the street from the Justice Center. You may not want to live or work next to a jail but you're projecting your tastes rather than stating a fact.
  12. Pollyanna - you can take that tone with your loved ones, but you will not take it with the Admins or Mods of this forum. Enjoy your week off; if it happens again, you're gone for good. What kind of idiot signs up on a forum to participate in one isolated thread and then proceeds to insult a Mod right off the bat? I doubt you'll be missed.

Okay, you thin people need to quit yer b!tchin'. :x
  14. America's Roast Beef, Yes Sir!
  15. JMasek, please make sure that a response from RTA gets printed in the PD. From the PD's "Letters to the Editor" Pointless Euclid Corridor project has crippled Cleveland Friday, November 09, 2007 Is the Euclid Corridor project not the most destructive, pointless venture going in Cleveland? How will Clevelanders benefit from this? Because we can take a bus from downtown to University Circle? We can do that now. I have worked downtown for 27 years and have never seen a construction project cripple the city the way this one has. It is next to impossible to walk on Euclid Avenue between Public Square and East Ninth Street, not to mention driving into and around downtown! And all for what? So RTA can make more money? Umm, as an Admin I must remind you of the rules... but uhhh, I'll overlook this infraction*... :-D *Just don't post any of the next series of photos - we don't want to lose any of our hetero membership ;-)
  17. Alright, keep it on topic - don't make me get p!ssy! ;-)

Uhhh, those wouldn't do much for Rob - or me... or a few others on this site...
  19. "Is the southern wall of the tower in line with the Galleria, or does it jet closer to the street?" The southern wall is further south than Tower at Erieview's, but pretty much even with the southern facade of the Galleria.
  20. Pshaw... blurry webcam pics? ;-) Good co-advertisement for the Avenue District and RTA's B-Line Trolley:
  21. "I didn't even know you had to dress a certain way to visit L.A." Well it's like punch said - he's going to some exclusive clubs and will be hobnobbing with the foo-foo L.A. crowd, not hanging out at the beach. And honey - depending on the itinerary there's a certain way to dress for L.A., NYC, Chicago, Vegas... even Columbiana County! It's very complicated - be grateful ;-) "Nordstrom was no help, which surprised me." I'm surprised too - then again, I'm spoiled to the Beachwood Nordstrom - most of the staff are very personable and really know their stuff.

3231, you probably came across city-data - most people there seem to view this as the ideal dwelling: Oompa, I would first do a lot of research and find out what's already out there. I recall reading something in the PD or Crains about a professional relocation service - though I recall it was skewed toward middle-age executive types (not that there's anything wrong with them). I would have to imagine that there's a market for newcomers who want an urban lifestyle, or at least DON'T want to live in a cul-de-sac 20 miles from downtown. Funding is going to be a concern, of course. What I might recommend is putting together your ideas and once you have something along the lines of a business plan - present it to the folks at Cleveland Colectivo. http://www.clevelandcolectivo.org/
  23. Nordstrom first, Kenneth Cole second - Nordstrom carries a lot of Kenneth Cole gear. Nordstrom is at 55 East Grand, Kenneth Cole is on Michigan by the river.
  24. On *my* budget? Honey, my recommendations for punch were made on his budget, not mine! Remember, I'm in the graphic design field! My budget, haHAH! Hooo, that was good!
  25. As Queen of the forum, I'm simply doing my civic duty ;-)
