At least I'm a nutjob who knows there are certain times in life where it's best to shut the h#ll up (despite what my partner might say)! :-) "Only took 446 posts!" You're right... I'm definitely losing my touch if it took that long! :-D

"Well if the cops can use a tasar on this guy, then I think tasars would be justified at many block club meetings in Ohio City." And Tremont as well - and again, if someone meets the criteria (blathering their looney manifesto before getting to the point, going waaay over time limits, etc.), I think tasering is fully justified. That or the bar of soap in a tube sock bludgeoning (aka Full Metal Jacket). Sorry folks - this is what happens when parents decide that little Johnny should be allowed to always express himself - whenever, wherever, and for however f#cking long. This is clearly the result of mousy-@ssed "permissive" parenting. Had Mom/Dad/Guardian pulled him aside at age 3 and smacked him upside the head, or disciplined him when he started running around screaming like a maniac, ruining my dinner/shopping experience/whathaveyou, he wouldn't have had 50K volts in his system now would he? Had Mom/Dad/Guardian fully ingrained the idea of respect (aka don't annoy the f#ck out of other people in the world), he would have asked a question - even an uncomfortable/probing one, Kerry would have answered or evaded and everyone would have gone home happy. Yes, Mom/Dad/Guardian, you SHOULD yank the leash every now and then! :whip:

msainc, I moved your original post to the "Random Cleveland Developments" thread. Since this thread is specifically for the Pinnacle, please use the following link for your question. Thanks! http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php?topic=3594.msg220437#msg220437
  5. Welcome to the forum! Are you looking for someone on the construction end, or a developer?

I don't see it that way... I mean, remember that scene in Airplane where the woman just flips the f#ck out ("I've gotta get out here, I've gotta get outta here!!!!) and she gets progressively worse as people try to calm her down? I mean, even a nun would want to belt the kid a good one so he'd shut the h#ll up!

As annoying as he was, absolutely.
  8. You mean - someone can't just be a column writer and buy $500 stilettos every week? But, but but...
  9. "Do you really not see a difference between your bike and someone's baby carriage? Maybe you'd also like them to kick off the old lady with a walker?" Most old ladies with walkers I've encountered have sense enough to yank their walker out of the aisle as best they can. I wish I could say the same for some of the stroller set.

I'm sorry - having attended so many public forums where during Q&A, some dipsh!t (perfect example above) either 1. goes waaay over their allotted time, or 2. fails to follow a simple format set up to give everyone an equal chance, or 3. blathers on about some wacko nutjob conspiracy manifesto for an hour before asking their question... sorry, I think they did the right thing. Not to mention he just wouldn't shut the f#ck up - if he wasn't so annoying, I'd probably feel pity for his ordeal (mind you, I've only had half of my coffee this morning). Folks, follow the Q&A format appropriately and when throttled to the ground by police, just put a sock in it!
  11. That's kinda gross depending on how you look at it, but thanks!
  12. If you're planning to attend (or you think you will), please reply in the following thread. Thanks! :-) http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php?topic=14097.0
  13. I gather that this tower topped out last week - AntonAusTirol over at skyscraperpage.com's forum posted this awesome shot. Mind you, the Jin Mao tower in the foreground is 1,380 feet tall... :-o
  14. I know it's a ways off but if we could get a "show of hands" of who is planning to attend, that'd be great.
  15. "request to... severely deny" That's right up there with Demi Moore's attempts to "strenuously object" in A Few Good Men.
  16. Usually it's nice if someone at least offers to buy me a drink before they try and bump... OHHH - you mean bump the thread!?! Yes, that's fine! ;-)

You know what my motto is, Patricia? "At least I'm not a right-wing cow Patricia Heaton."
  18. The sagging pants in prison also sent a signal to other inmates that one was "available".

How can they not list "Poltergeist"?
  20. They favor the Med Mart, but won't contribute to it; they favor the interchange, but won't financially support it - amazing how supportive they are of spending tax dollars when they pay none on the property they own. Then again, support for keeping people in an auto-centric lifestyle will provide them with a steady local supply of cardio-vascular patients!

  22. Not at all, let me know if you need a high-res shot. :-)

  24. Today was a busy day - my partner ran in the Susan Komen Race for the Cure (he raised over $400 :-) ) and afterward we stopped by the Tremont Art and Culture festival. The clouds from last night's storm front were clearing out - making for some dramatic lighting: The pre-race festivities took place on Malls B and C: A warm-up including "Celebration" - this lady was loving it: There were a lot of people with signs for loved ones: Looking toward Mall C, basically a sea of humanity: There were a lot of people wearing "In Memory Of" signs ... a rather sobering moment: Energizer was a big corporate sponsor: It may be a benefit, but I'm gonna get my architecture pics! :-) Over to the starting line: And they're off! [youtube=425,350]VU9nd6SGnj4 Like I said - SEA of humanity: After about 10 minutes, the lead runners were on their way back to complete the second leg of the course: Quick pic of the Rock Hall: The winner, I presume... And while they obviously don't compare to my partner - who knew races brought out such hot men!?! And for the rest of you guys, hot women! :-D The first batch of runners: These gals get my vote - running at full speed and STILL working the camera like the rent is due! These gals were going to bail early, but they just took a breather and got back in the race: Who'da thunk that out of all these people, I'd end up seeing some friends! GuitarMania was over at the Rock Hall: John Carroll's pep band provided some entertainment: The last batch of runners on the left, the first of the walkers on the right: Lots and lots of walkers: Obligatory Key shot: With Channel 3 as a big media sponsor - of course I have to get a pic of Ramona Robinson! Well the partner made a 5K in 26ish minutes - pretty good, but time to go home. On the way back, the walkers were still going: And time for a movie - the skyline view on the way home :-) [youtube=425,350]IOtQ5o9BFRk Next up, the Tremont Arts and Culture Festival which coincided with the Sparx in the City event: Some dahlias in one of the community gardens: Pilgrim United Church of Christ, one of the tallest churches in Tremont proper: The Lincoln Park Bath Condos - built as a bathhouse before the area had neighborhood-wide running water, now condos: Pardon this brief interruption for lunch at Prosperity Social Club - perfect mix of old-school ambiance with updated food and booze :-) Two fun bits of decor: They have 3 of these: [youtube=425,350]YfSV0F_Ovw4 Alright, done with lunch - onto the festival. Target was a corporate sponsor: There were several chalk artists around the gazebo - this guy was creating a rendering of St. Theodosius cathedral: Lots of artists and vendors: Some Capoeira dancers/performers http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capoeira The main attraction seemed to be over this way: Ah, of course - belly dancers! More artists, vendors, and causes-of-every-kind: And with that, it was time to head home - hope you enjoyed :-)
