Ethereum wallet? Sounds like something from Dungeons and Dragons π Actually can't say that I have but it might be something worth looking into.

Cleveland - a little more 'full' and a little 'less'
Been trying to get out for some good walks whenever we have a good weather day - it's March in Cleveland so it can be hit or miss. Fortunately today the weather was cooperative enough for some quick snaps in the morning followed by a walk at Whiskey Island and the Centennial/Scranton Flats stretch along the Towpath. Still figuring out settings on the new camera, etc. so bear with me π Morning snaps: And over to Whiskey Island: The new bridge under construction: Coast Guard Station: Another look at the new bridge: Bear with me, still figuring out settings and whatnot on the new camera: \ I told my husband if he mentions anything about Tippi Hedren, he's getting thrown in the river - bonus points to anyone getting the reference ;) I need to dig up the photos I have from when the old Coast Guard Station was a busted up hot mess - love seeing such an iconic building restored. I saw an Instagram post from the east side with a "dramatic" photo of trees that had fallen into Lake Erie. I can appreciate the artistic viewpoint but folks, that's a really bad thing and it's a reminder of how we're all affected by climate change - see this tree as an example. At the same time, the water by Whiskey Island was absurdly clear today. Off to the next segment... View from Columbus Road Bridge: And Scranton Flats section of the Towpath:

I know Rhodes Tower isn't exactly easy on the eyes, but the views from it, especially the top floor* (before it was closed) are outstanding. I mean - c'mon, it was good enough for Hollywood (well, after a little touchup, but hey, it's Hollywood)! π

Cleveland: Random Visualizations & Massings
First, thank you for sharing these - always a treat and waaaaaay better than my 2002-2004 era Photoshop jobs! π Good question on the renderings and maintain that "just appreciating/being an architecture geek" boundary - if any of our resident attorneys have insight or know someone practicing intellectual property law, feel free to weigh in.

May 1st is always a FABULOUS* day, thankyouverymuch. This year Iβll be spending it celebrating my last year in my 40s. π *Where do you think I got my screen name?

Thanks, glad people are enjoying these. @Pugu Itβs the Canon RP with a decent kit lens - picked it up at Dodd Camera downtown. https://doddcamera.com/canon-eos-rp-mirrorless-camera-with-24-105mm-f-4-7-1-lens.html

It never gets old, does it? Even lifelong Clevelanders I know will do the "hey, gotta stop and watch the boat!"

Cleveland - a little more 'full' and a little 'less'
Picking up where I left off, a few photos from Playhouse Square and CSU vicinity, then a few from the Towpath Trail near Tremont. What's the saying? "I was today years old when I realized the doorway to the Keith Building was this fricking ornate!" The Edge - definitely not groundbreaking architecture, but adds needed population and density on this stretch of Euclid along with street level retail: Rhodes Tower - she ain't pretty but I'll always have a soft spot for this Brutalist beast. On a whim and on a random lunch break in April 2006, I went to the top floor with my old Minolta Z6 and snapped a photo. Long story short, one of the executive producers of 'Hot In Cleveland' saw it on my site, a contract was signed and the next thing I know it was the opening graphic/title card for 128 episodes of an Emmy award winning show featuring Betty White shown in over 170 countries. Who'da thunk? π€·ββοΈ I've always admired the original YMCA building, finally got a chance to get some decent pics: Okay, back to the Towpath Trail ... my husband and I have always joked about the trailhead closest to us. It has marvelous sweeping views of the impound lot, chemical factory and the steel mills - mind you it also has some neat views of downtown but well, as proper Southsiders we say "it ain't the prettiest but it's ours" π That said - apparently a young gentleman passed away yesterday and was discovered on one of the several benches on the trail entrance - there are some conflicting details going around. Whatever the case, hopefully their soul is at peace and sympathies to their loved ones. I was expecting police tape cordoning everything off but we were surprised to see the area busier than usual. The aforementioned entry view: One of the features of this stretch of the Towpath Trail are several mounds built near West 7th Street - a bit tricky to climb but the views are worth it. Closer to the newer stretch along University: Closer to University and West 10th, tables and swings are being set up for the scenic overlook: Maybe a spot for an UrbanOhio BBQ meetup? And thanks to the Patron Saint of Good Timing (whoever that may be, I'm not a practicing anything), a freighter was coming through. This is the Herbert Jackson - 690' long, so 18 feet shorter than the Terminal Tower is long. I passed my maneuverability test in a 1970 Plymouth Duster without power steering - I can't begin to imagine how these people do this!

While my husband got his first of the vaccine shots, I decided to get some steps in and take the new camera out for a spin. Still figuring everything out but so far, very happy I made the upgrade.

Trying to get out and get more shots - best shot I had was the first of the Pfizer vaccine, somehow managed to snag an appointment at the Wolstein Center yesterday π Can't wait to see this view once the park at Irishtown Bend is finished.

Well, here we are a year later and another St. Patrick's Day unlike what we're used to. I've been extremely fortunate in some ways - still gainfully employed and healthy, but like everyone - it's been a doozy of a year. With that, I made a modest splurge (modest in the camera/photography world) and picked up a Canon RP - 'full frame' and 'mirrorless'. In full disclosure, this is the first time I took her out for a spin and just a few shots on a walk this afternoon/evening. I'm eligible for the vaccine as of this week, so hopefully I'll be getting out and about more and seeing what she can really do.

@mrclifton88 I have to ask - as someone who has been following development in downtown Cleveland for about 25 years now ... per your second photo, did they take Marie's sign DOWN??? There have been certain 'absurd apex' moments along the years - no, not tower cranes, I'm talking: 'world class signage' at the Avenue District, the tree coming down from what is now the Ivory, can I really finally add Marie's sign removal to that list? Sorry, got a little something in my eye π₯ π- Cleveland: Tremont: Development and News
Got out for a walk on the Towpath today. I think on a different site the Electric Gardens building would be a home run but the all-black exterior and scale ... itβs like Emperor Palpatineβs barge crash-landed in Tremont.- Cleveland: Downtown: Skyline 776 (City Club Apartments)
Very cool, and not to challenge you or what you heard but thatβs rather odd based on other high rise construction Iβve seen. I know some have been set up at the perimeter of a site, but on the sidewalk adjacent? π€·π»ββοΈ Ah well, still just happy someone FINALLY called Marie π- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Simply put - DON'T. This goes for all threads and not singling anyone out - if a thread is locked, it's for good reason. If it needs to be unlocked, send a PM to the Admins and it will be reviewed. Posting materials in non-related threads means the Admins and Mods get to spend time splicing and parsing posts and doing cleanup work (which is not at the top of our list of favorite things). Yes, your heart is in the right place, and we're all excited about the latest news but it's nothing we haven't already heard about - it's just now official.- Cleveland Heights: Development and News
First, awesome view π Second, yes - thatβs a SETC (self erecting tower crane), technically a tower crane (lite?). Thereβs no operator cab, the crane operator uses remote controls. Larger projects typically involve a hammerhead crane (aka has the operator cab and large counterweights on the jib/counterjib) https://www.manitowoc.com/potain/self-erecting-cranes- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters

I'm the last person to participate in (or even moderate) a sportzball thread but even I can appreciate the great news. Not that I really had a choice with my husband (life long die hard "AF" Browns fan) screaming at the top of his lungs π- Cleveland: Random Photos
Indeed, I follow his account on Instagram and he's taken a lot of truly awesome pics. - Cleveland: Downtown: Skyline 776 (City Club Apartments)
