I wonder if these images that were sent to me last night mean anything? JUST KIDDING - I think it was about ten years ago when a 300' glass tower on the Jacobs lot was being proposed? Anyway, these are some of those "hastily slapped together photoshoppings" I used to do, with 'the Bow' from Calgary (architect Norman Foster) superimposed on the skyline. Always liked Foster's structural expressionist aesthetic, so I'm very curious to see what we end up with ?- Cleveland: Downtown: John Hartness Brown Buildings / Euclid Grand

I agree with the first part of your sentence but as a graphic designer, the last part ... is that Swahili?? ? Hopefully they can make a go of it, I know the restaurant business is tough but that location just seems like it should be a slam dunk.- Cleveland: Downtown: John Hartness Brown Buildings / Euclid Grand

A little Throwback Thursday action... Off-topic, but posting this to be 100% crystal clear - under no circumstances should anyone EVER post a copyrighted article OR a workaround to a media outlet paywall, etc. In September 2009, the Admins were given a 'cease and desist' by the eight largest newspapers in Ohio regarding posts containing entire articles (and images) that were copy/pasted from the respective websites. Our first thoughts were 'it's the end of the forum as we know it'. ☹️ While I typically don't toot my own horn, yours truly negotiated with the media group to get us time to get the entire forum compliant - at that time it was 114 pages of threads and 188,000 posts. They gave us one month. ? Thanks to an amazing group of forum volunteers, every thread and post was scrubbed, edited to compliance (an intro paragraph followed by the link directing to the article on the original site - paywall or not) and brought back online. If it weren't for me negotiating and the countless hours from the volunteers, the forum you're enjoying wouldn't exist. With that ... One more time to make sure the message is clear - under no circumstances should anyone EVER post a copyrighted article OR a workaround to a media outlet's paywall, etc.- Cleveland: Downtown: The Lumen

- Visiting Cleveland & Cedar Point – Need Recommendations
My suggestions/comments below: I will be arriving in Cleveland on Friday October 25th with a group of Cleveland virgins. We will be staying at the Hyatt Regency downtown. I would prefer to be car free for the day. The following morning, we will need to pick up a rental car back at the airport and to drive to Cedar Point. Is the Red line a reliable source to get to/from downtown Friday/Saturday morning? I saw some postings that it has been problematic. Wherever you would want to go would also be easily accessible via rideshare (Lyft, etc.). Red line construction has wrapped up, I would recommend getting the 'Transit' app to track arrivals/departures. Where is the best place to have an adult beverage with a view? Is the bar at the Hilton open to the public? The bar at the 9? Some other place? Bar 32 at the Hilton is indeed open to public; at the 9 the best view is from Azure Sky Lounge but may not be open at that point, call ahead to be sure. Any recommendations for dinner that does not require a reservation? Depends on party size, preferences, budget - need more info before I can recommend. Where to go in the Flats for drinks with a view? Collision Bend Brewing, plus they have a great menu of shareables. Best gay/gay friendly bar in Cleveland to have a drink? Twist? Yes. I wanted to stay at the Breakers at Cedar Point but all of the hotels on the property require a two-night stay. Does anyone have a recommendation for a hotel near Cedar Point? Would airbnb be an option? Looked like quite a few available around your travel dates. Thank you in advance for your recommendations!- Cleveland: Downtown: The Lumen
