Well as for location, I think Bac was there for eight (?) years? I think the menu was too small (albeit great) and I think the layout has needed opening up. I’m guessing the taking out the wall separating the bar and dining area is a nonstarter.

Trio in Tremont (West 14th and Auburn, former location of Bac and La Tortilla Feliz) closed this week - tried it a few times and it was good, pretty innovative but small menu. Sounds like they just couldn't get the traction needed to stay open.

^It's entirely possible the crew may have been working, but during down time, tower cranes are usually purposely set to 'weathervane'. Tower crane weathervaning

They haven't jumped the crane yet, but looks like they've adjusted the construction cam.
