I have a photo from the construction and the opening ceremony of the promenade (Mayor Jane Campbell and former Shaker Heights Mayor Judy Rawson walking in front of the group), if you can use them. At one point I had a piece of the ribbon cutting from the opening ceremony but lost it in a move. Somewhat related, I've been going through my archives in preparation for donating my collection to a local institution. Which brought me to thinking of compiling a thread for the "back in the day" projects (2000s-2010s). In some cases, links to my photos were broken with forum upgrades, etc. but I have plenty to share if there'd be any interest.

Going through my archives, came across this pic of Ferry Cap and Screw from 2011 - I pretty much forgot there was a low-rise building which was demolished for the construction of the sewer overflow tunnel.

Can’t tell for sure, and only had my phone on me but looks like the tower crane may be coming down 😔

Old theatre, my in-laws remember seeing shows there and playing basketball on the courts in the former Lincoln Park Baths next door. A few proposals over the years were nixed because the adjacent church (former owner) didn’t want any establishment serving alcohol.

For me, being a bit of a weather nerd goes hand in hand with photography. Low humidity + partly cloudy + just a little breeze is my preference, and luckily that was the case that day.

Tried the new parking setup at the West Side Market this morning, the app interface isn’t as intuitive as others I’ve used but figured it out. Also found out the gateless entry has now opened up ample space for thieves to dump stolen cars - not one, not two but three were found in the lot this morning. 🙄 That explained the rather heavy police presence, which initially seemed a little heavy handed for parking enforcement 😆
