Thank you, jmicha - these are great. :-)
  2. ^It's hard to get photos of the facade on the western side; the aLoft construction blocks the view. But I snapped a peek of it from the north: aLoft in the foreground:
  3. If anyone has a camera, please take lots of photos for us :-)
  4. ^That's probably more to do with the camera quality (or lack thereof).
  5. ^Yep, but they serve pretty standard sized cupcakes http://acookieandacupcake.com/ - if they can *all* do well, more power to 'em.
  6. It's hard to tell, but it looks like we might be seeing the first bits of the facade installation:
  7. Sure is - sorry for the poor quality (cell phone pic):
  8. Folks, while I love to see renderings as much as anyone, we cannot permit posting them before they're released publicly - unless of course explicit permission has been given.
  9. First and foremost, we just can't have subject lines in ALL CAPS :-)

    ^Agreed; I was pleasantly surprised.

    Looks like Kaptur took it.
  12. Let's save the speculation for a highrise for another thread. Thanks!
  13. Folks. the comments slamming Columbus and residents thereof aren't appropriate. Knock it off.
  14. Folks, let's get back on topic. Thanks.

Cleveland's got dibs on Comic Sans. Oh no it doesn't! http://www.bancomicsans.com
  16. That's where Tilted Kilt is going.
  17. So yeah, we have had very mild temps so far (knock on wood) so I've managed to get out and take a few shots here and there. No real rhyme or reason to them - just some from the east side, downtown, west side, and wrapping up at the Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve (which will be a definite must once spring actually arrives). A typical winter Saturday morning, with no events at Gateway: Make note of the Rose Building (Medical Mutual) and that stretch in general - it gets blown to bits in the 'Avengers' movie :shoot: Pardon the windshield tint, the building on the left is the Halle Building (formerly Halle Bros. department store). Quite a bit of Hollywood here - actress Halle Berry was named after it, and it served as the backdrop/workplace for Drew Carey on his show: Some residential conversions in the pipeline plus new construction at CSU might liven up this stretch: Out to the east side via Euclid Avenue - not the greatest architecture on the right but at least it's built up to the sidewalk. Baby steps, I guess. Continuing on Euclid: More Hollywood in the 216 - these were used in the filming of 'Fun Size', starring Victoria Justice. They weren't originally these colors but the film crew jazzed them up (way up!) and left them this way when they left: The next two buildings (churches) worry me based on their proximity to the Cleveland Clinic: Uptown mixed-use ahead, new Museum of Contemporary Art on the right: Further up Euclid: And into Cleveland Heights on Mayfield Road: Back down to Cedar, heading toward downtown - wish I could close the road for a few minutes on a nice day and get this shot :| Melt went east: Cleveland Heights high school clocktower - could use a little spiffing up: Nice details on a building on Cedar: Cedar Fairmount neighborhood of Cleveland Heights: They love tudor in the Heights! Back in the city proper, the new Doubletree is looking great after extensive renovations: Hopefully we'll soon be able to say the same for the larger building on the right: Almost back downtown: And here we are - 41 days until opening day, fyi: Let me make a point or two: Keep on trucking, or guarding... err... A day or so later, the sun decided to come out and play for a while; these shots are from the west side; Cliff Drive near Edgewater Park: Scranton Road: Both from I-90 - again, wish I could close the road for a few minutes to get crisper shots on these. Back on Scranton Road: Note to self - bury utility lines along Scranton: Although this sign on West 117th is alright, I really miss the old "Hard Times" sign. Along Clifton Blvd: Loving how the Ernst and Young tower will fill in the gap from this angle: Zipping through Tremont: And over to Spring Road near the Hinckley Road industrial park: Some shots of Old Brooklyn (maybe Brooklyn, not quite sure of the borders): Time to go back east, to the Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve fka Dike 14 http://www.dike14.org/ At some point, this won't be Deadman's Curve: Quay 55 - does anyone have photos of this when it was just a gutted shell sitting along the Lake? Soon to be shuttered: Yeah, they don't make power plants like this anymore: Alright, we're at the nature preserve - I'm definitely making some return trips when the weather improves and things start to bloom: Did I mention there are great views of downtown from here? Scroll -------> And with that, things are looking up! :-) Hope you enjoyed!
  18. Yep, *no* photo is worth putting yourself in harms way.
  19. Some shots from the weekend:
  20. No, it's the spot in the north side of the Superior Building, next to the 'greenspace' north of the Hampton Inn. It changes names/themes regularly.
  21. Update from yesterday:
  22. And with that, it's time to get back on the topic of the casino's construction. Thanks.
  23. 327, you're on notice - next time it happens, it'll result in a suspension. Your post following this is an exception (and I agree with you, May Co. building as parking = vomit)

I should have clarified; "good" meaning good for residents.
