  1. ^ Funny, you could actually watch them walk the camera over to Council Chambers on cincinnati.com's live stream.
  2. Movement updates: Eric Avner of the Haile Foundation entered Flynn's office. Cranley left Flynn's office, and now Murray and Smitherman are in Cranley's office.
  3. Here's my question: If city ordinances require readings at three meetings on three different days, will this not be final today, and will it effect the Federal deadline of midnight tonight to restart the project? If they have 7 votes, they can waive the 3 day thing, but I don't know who on the opposition would waive that.
  4. Seelbach just posted a picture of his giant smile, saying that's all he could say until 2:00.
  5. Ugh... Where is Flynn?! The suspense is killing me!!!
  6. She is AMAZING. We are so fortunate to have her. Wendell Young and Chris Seelbach are also great. And PG has his moments, when he's not trying to be overly diplomatic. I've gained a lot of respect for PG over the past couple weeks. Not solely because he now supports the streetcar (though that helped), but because he was willing to change his position based on new information. Not a lot of politicians are willing to do that. See: Cranley, John.
  7. Jason Williams ‏@jwilliamscincy 1m Flynn to hold 1 p.m. press conference. All I know is Haile Foundation's Eric Avber will be there. #cincystreetcar This seems like very good news! Then there's this: Cindi Andrews ‏@cindiincincy 1m Flynn's aide just said 1 pm presser is canceled - some things still being reviewed. Stills expects announcement, timing tbd @enquirer Ugh...
  8. ^ That's sure what it seemed like to me... Sleazy...
  9. Or a South Park episode... Jeez...
  10. Cindi Andrews ‏@cindiincincy 3m 1/2 Streetcar supporter @yvette4council just danced out of chambers & predicted she will be able to make a 3 pm hair apt today. @enquirer 2/2 "it's a good day for cincinnati," Simpson said. She declined to say more but Flynn, the swing vote, is making announcement in 30 mins.
  11. If he doesn't have a commitment, why would he announce at 1:00? Shouldn't he wait until the last possible minute before he would vote to cancel?
  12. German Lopez ‏@germanrlopez 21s Councilman Flynn says he doesn't have written commitment for streetcar operating costs, but he hopes to get one by 1 p.m.
  13. German Lopez ‏@germanrlopez 42s Councilman Flynn to announce his vote at 1 p.m.
  14. Seelbach trying to get a recess to let Flynn finish with Cranley, so he can hear SORTA's proposal and arguments. Think it's coincidental that Cranley's Chief of Staff pulls Flynn out just as SORTA is beginning their presentation? This is the information that Flynn has been working on. Seems kind of important that he should be in the room...
  15. I love Chris Wetterich: Chris Wetterich ‏@ChrisCinciBiz 31s Let's cut through the b/s here. Chris Wetterich ‏@ChrisCinciBiz 35s There are some council members for whom if Jesus Christ himself came down from the heavens & delivered an $80 million check, they'd vote no
  16. After declaring himself and PG two of the "best fundraisers in the nation", David Mann says "I think what Mr Winburn said today is if the streetcar goes forward, he will help raise money for it". Not sure if that was the Windbag's intent, but I hope he is held to it.
  17. ^ Uh-oh. My anonymity has been blown!
  18. ^ Did it this morning :)
  19. Hoping for a Miracle on Plum Street today. We can do this!
  20. 'Bill Rinehart ‏@700BillRinehart 2m Flynn spent the recess in David Mann's office. Mann has said he's working on making Flynn vote #6.' Better than spending it in Cranley's office!
  21. ^ Vote is at 2:00. Winburn says that Flynn will vote to continue. http://www.wlwt.com/news/local-news/cincinnati/decision-day-for-the-cincinnati-streetcar-project/-/13549970/23561950/-/5wcqni/-/index.html?utm_source=hootsuite&utm_medium=Facebook&utm_campaign=wlwt5&utm_source=hootsuite&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=wlwt
  22. David Mann told Scott Sloan on 700WLW that he will vote to complete. So, it all comes down to Kevin Flynn... Mann has also said that he is actively working on winning Flynn's support.
  23. Good morning everybody. Today's the day... Flynn is still undecided this morning. Cindi Andrews ‏@cindiincincy 1m JUST IN: No deal or final decision on #cincystreetcar "yet," swing vote @FlynnForCincy just told me. Streetcar comm starts at 9. @Enquirer
  24. ^ Flynn said he would not override the veto if he votes no. He also said he is Optimistic a deal will come together by tomorrow. We shall see...
  25. ^ It really does make an interesting comparison looking at supporters arguments side-by-side with opponents. You can really tell who is informed. For and against are pretty even as far as the number of speakers, but if you look at substance, it's no contest.
