  1. Any news what's happening on the newly cleared lot between KFC and Wyoming?
  2. Probably my favorite nighttime shots of downtown Dayton.
  3. Good point...but being in Dayton is not something to go unappreciated. As for what Ronnie said, I'm in complete agreement.
  4. It's about time...do we know when this will be operational?
  5. Yes, the ice rink is going forward but I am not sure if it will resemble the rendering. Also, do not be surprised to see some sort of whitewater/kayaking on the Mad River upstream of Riverscape.
  6. ^That's really funny, I'm laughing out loud.
  7. The stuff that comes out of Wright-Patt is amazing...even disregarding the Roswell alien specimens
  8. Amen for OhioLINK
  9. Reminds me of http://gluespace.wordpress.com
  10. Quite impressive. I read this on UD's graduate school website: The Dayton area has one of the highest ratios of engineers and scientists to total population in the entire nation, and there is a heavy concentration of industrial and government engineering activity.
  11. This is a great idea...talk about cutting edge.
  12. I must hand it to the Republicans for keeping Wright Patt well-funded.
  13. ^We need more UO users making decisions. This is BS. I thought preserving the old Frigidaire plant was part of the plan. I guess those renderings and site plans they post are just BS for the media to publish. Its the mix of old and new that gave this scheme some character. Like I said, "Only in Dayton is it difficult". What doe it take for this towns leaders to figure it out? I mean seriously...
  14. Urbanites need to realize the vital importance of preserving farmland and the DIRECT correlation to the strength and vibrancy of cities. The farmers understand the necessity of strong local connections better than anybody...and don't even get me started on megafarms...
  15. That's a good idea! Think of the advertising for all the cool concepts on the cutting edge...only in Columbus. I also think OSU should be better capitalized on in a global sense...
  16. Any news on this project/possible collaboration with other (downtown?) developments?
  17. ^Agreed. Minneapolis-St. Paul, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Cincinnati-Dayton, sounds good to me. Check these out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_metropolitan_areas#United_States
  18. ^nevermind, I just found: http://www.otrbrewerydistrict.org/history_map.php
  19. I love the idea of an authentic and vibrant brewery district in OTR. It fits and is something Cincinnati could say is "Only in Cincinnati." EDIT: Does anyone have a better map of the district than this: http://www.otrbrewerydistrict.org/files/BreweryDistrictUrbanPlanLARGE.jpg
