  1. I played baseball at Roger Bacon. We were terrible, but I mean, it's baseball, so I loved every minute of it. I wore 14 in honor of the Hit King. I played 3rd, Pitched and some 2nd. Also, I was able to see our Spartans beat Lebron James for the state title...
  2. :bang: scratch my last post. sorry
  3. ^ I'm sorry, I meant the name change from Florida Marlins to Miami Marlins
  4. Is that official? I haven't been able to see that on ESPN or any other sports site.
  5. i greatly appreciate your googling...
  6. I am assuming they can remove it?...
  7. ^Looks like a rolled up newspaper  What about the main cauldron?
  8. ^I believe that is the only "map plan" drafted so far. I am going to do my Planning Thesis dealing with the brewery district and I have talked to someone about ideas and issues facing the district. This area is laying quietly under the radar and also has many supporters. I'm afraid to say a lot of progress will be based upon the streetcar/light rail and The Banks. We will see.
  9. If construction does start with the street car, is the funding going to be secure and available for it's completion, or will we have another Cincinnati Subway in our hands? Yes I know why the subway was never complete. Sorry if I am re-introducing spent questions, but it just popped into my head.
  10. any pictures of the Torch?

How about the Mazda Suitcase? Not too sure what the MPG is, but I think it is small enough for the city...and your garage...or closet....or office desk...or the over head compartment on the airplane.
  12. Branding isn't all that bad. If it is done right, it can really add character to a certain area( i.e., Times Square), but then again I must reinforce, "done right". How many people complained about the PNC plastered all over the PNC Tower? That has gone through several re-brandings through out it's lifetime. I certainly do not agree with Kendle or Kendle Tower or any type of plastic distraction atop the Carew Tower, but what's to stop Kendle?

very very cool. maybe my ignorance has got the best of me, but this is what makes Cincinnati so magical. I don't/can't think of any other city with as much "weird" artifacts as Cincinnati. 100's of hidden wonders all over the city. It's kind of like going through an old attic and finding all kinds of mysterious objects with some kind of story attached to them. Awesome.
  14. This could help bring bigger and better music festivals into Cincinnati and Riverbend. I have been to a few shows that have multiple stages, not that fun at Riverbend. Usually additional stages are set up in the parking lot and they are fenced off from the "outside", or people who haven't paid to get in. 4,000+ seats would be perfect for a "2nd stage" for big music festivals such as OzzFest, Lollapalooza (is that even going on anymore?) and many more. Those are the music festivals that I would personally go to. I am sure there are other festivals for country, rap and other music. I happened to be working for Anderson Township when Riverbend wanted to build this, I was very exciting to hear about the news, to say the least.
  15. The only potential problem I could see happening with the Devil's Ray new stadium is player possibly losing pop ups in the white translucent covering. This is a common heart ache in for the Twins and teams that play there. Anyways, the design looks good, it is definitely different from the normal MLB stadium. It has a Montreal/Japanese feel to it. www.ballparks.com --this is a good website. it has all the old, present and future stadiums for MLB, NFL, Hockey, NBA, race tracks college stadiums and even some foreign stadiums. Check out the Great American Page. They show some of the old renderings of the early stages.

relic of the past. amazing little car, simple and gets the job done. nice rag top too. Those are just starting to come back. you can almost fit two of those in that parking spot.

I was listening to Pure Rock 96 this morning, and they have been bashing the Reds all winter about how terrible of a job they are doing with picking up pitchers. I'm shocked, this off season has been the busiest for the Reds probably within the past 10 years. Yeah, the pitchers might be old and maybe average, but it gives me hope that at least they are trying to do something. Maybe playoffs are not in the picture this year (I hope I am wrong), but look what they have done in the past 3 months. I really applaud Castellini and his efforts of improving the Reds to a winning team, which is something Good Ole' Boy Linder didn't care about.
  18. Yeah I live right around the corner on Warner; I saw the fire. It was funny seeing people come out of their houses like "dude wtf the power is out!". Everyone was pissed off. Ours didn't go out for some reason. haha, I was watching tv, drinking a beer and the power went out. first tought, "damnit we didn't pay the energy bill."

  22. i would assume different because that are in different states? someone please correct me
  23. Is there any plans to implement the street car with the Banks project. Maybe, put a track right in the heart of the plan? I know of the plans and of the current track alignment, but wouldnt this make a little sense? i guess it does make too much sense...
  24. I live on Ohio Ave., my power went out around 7:15pm or so, and was off for about two hours. Actually, everything lost power west of Vine and I do not know how far north it was off. I can't remember if Siddal and Calhoun dorms were off, but that wouldn't matter because of UC's own powerplant. That being said, I'm thinking it was electrical. Some interesting theories about the cause though.
  25. When I tell people I am studying Urban Planning, they say, "Can you fix Cincinnati?" Yeah, I'll get right on that...
