California Student Stops Out-of-Control School Bus; Gets Detention for Skipping Class Sunday , March 16, 2008 AP SEASIDE, Calif. — A 15-year-old girl who stopped an out-of-control school bus she was riding on was handed a Saturday detention instead because she was skipping school. Marina High School student Amanda Rouse was on a bus with 40 elementary school students Wednesday morning when the driver fell out of her seat after a turn and hit her head. ----I hate idiotic people. She should be rewarded for possibly saving lives. Saturday school? Blah, come on. The only problem with her "skipping" school is that she got caught. Loser school system.

  9. Ha, I love that. I've never heard that term before...
  10. I live with two other guys, we pay $384 a month a piece. It is one floor, 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, full kitchen, free laundry(in our apt), off street parking, it is in a "nicer" part of Clifton, Ohio Ave. I think it is a great deal. I am not complaining at all about it. Maybe just seeing prices jump from 400 to 600, average, rattles me a little. I work hard, I go to school full time and someone like me could never afford to live in a place like that. Frustration, I guess, that I don't get help like that from the parentals, but it makes me appreciate things a little more that I have to do majority on my own, being only 23.
  11. ^I'm thinking 600 a person for like a 3-4 room place, but you are talking 1 person or studio?
  12. ^Crap, premium living is a crock and a statement to raise prices on rent a month. I guess it's nice to have mommy and daddy hand you money to pay for it.

  16. I hope whatever they decide to put into the location will "fit" into the existing buildings already located on McMillian. I think UPA looks ok because of the location. Do you really want to see a "Canyon" of sorts along Calhoun?

speaking of World of Warcraft....this is a MUST watch, a MUST watch. I have no idea what this game is about, but this is probably one of the funniest videos on the net!!
  19. ^back to Calhoun though. At least someone decided to plant grass to make it somewhat attractive looking and usable. I saw hundreds of Marshall and West Virginia football fans use that area for tailgating before the games last fall. Nice to know someone is using it for something.
  20. ^But I hate smelling like a "bar" when I go out. haha, but its ok when you puke all over yourself and sleep in those same clothes over night...idiots...
  21. That Barnes and Noble will probably fold within the next 2-3 years after the Borders is added to Kenwood Mall. Isn't there a Barnes and Noble in Newport on the Levee though?
