Cincinnati: Avondale: Development and News
They are currently offering roughly 10 mil and not to the ACDC but to other groups who work in the neighborhood. I'm guessing if it were going to ACDC we wouldn't be hearing a thing. Can't find the source but I feel like an initial demand was for close to 100 mil in direct and indirect aid.

And if this were going in at Liberty people would complain as well so it as a lose-lose situation. If someone can argue for an equitable alternative I would be all ears but I've yet to hear anything.

Luckily with such broad parameters that 10% can likely be achieved with creative number crunching.

Cincinnati: Avondale: Development and News
I saw the 10% improvement quote as well, can't find or recall where as there has been a lot written lately. All in all the community redevelopment corp, which is run by the same people as the community council is basically using this as a cash grab, calling this new building genocide, etc etc.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Agreed, but it is far superior than anything else that is out there. I'm also in a unique situation in that I often walk to work but take the bus when its raining, hot or I'm feeling lazy or hungover. I won't wait much more than 5 minutes for a bus so this app works great for me.

In google play it is called cincy streetcar and bus gps. It was intially streetcar only but has been updated and is super valuable.

No, the app has just made the real time part of Metro's site mobile friendly. So you can pick a route easily and see where every bus on that route is. I'm a big fan and use it daily.

Hamilton County Auditor
If you appeal they will basically agree with re-appraising to the sale price.

joetraveler replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionI've been on some gondolas at pretty podunk ski places so I'd imagine in the under 10 mil. I'd think car size would be a fairly big factor in price.

Hamilton County Auditor
An arm's length sale is the "end all be all" of a property valuation. In my head the auditor is not really set up to deal with spikes in housing prices in very small geographic areas and I am more than ok with that.

Non-Ohio: Road & Highway News
I've not gotten a bill and it was memorial day when I passed through. Only other experience was a toll road by Toronto which took about 3 months to show up.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Statistically speaking "almost never" is how often you want someone checking tickets. Maybe slightly more often initially. How often has anyone had a ticketed checked on a system that self validates? I'm guessing we are doing it here a lot more than other places do.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
How often should there be an officer on board to check tickets? Isn't the whole point of it that you are incentivized to buy a ticket due to the fine and also to speed up boarding times when compared to a bus? Either we want quick boarding or everyone checked but lets not play both sides for political reasons.

Drove this way over memorial day weekend, even stranger than the emptiness was the amount of people recreating on the path/sidewalk along the bridge.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Ziegler Park Renovation
Consistent and long hours. If you look at the CRC pools slot of them are only open until 5 or so. Also a longer season as the CRC pools close when CPS is back in and Ziegler will be open til labor day. Hoping they open at memorial day next year so that would be around 6 more weeks.

Most people I know have always thought of it as "suburbanites gone wild"

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Ziegler Park Renovation
Except the CRC kind of sucks at running pools. I've showed up to pools that should be open that are not, that close early because the workers feel like it, etc, etc. Also keep in mind the CRC has Dunham which the $35 pass is not valid for.

joetraveler replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionNot sure I ever had a meal that took less than an hour at the diner's latest incarnation, in fact they were all likely closer to and hour and a half. Even an hour is pretty much a deal breaker.

Cincinnati: Bicycling Developments and News
Because the park board has been staunchly opposed to any MTB trails for ideological as opposed to technical reasons. A lot of other user groups have been staunchly opposed in the past and likely still are.

Cincinnati: Mt. Auburn: Development and News
joetraveler replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionAs a resident I would love for a one way to happen as well, but unfortunately traffic already backs up so far up Sycamore hill waiting for Liberty left turns that there's no way the DOTE or Christ Hospital would allow that. I'm imagine the traffic down to liberty will decrease once the MLK ramp opens up.
