  1. Michael is the one who is making me post on here. He is better at this stuff than I am.
  2. I included as I too both live and work there and continue to invest more and more into OTR. From personal to professional, I can empathize with the impact of crime as well as relate to the improvements that we as a community have seen over the years. This is not the same OTR as it was 10 years ago, and not even the same OTR as it was 1 year ago and hopefully it will be an even better OTR 1 year and 10 years from now.
  3. We are selling more today than at any other point. That is both in total contracts and in dollar volume. The biggest changes for us will be when SCPA is completed, Washington Park goes under construction and the streetscaping is completed. But even now, the sales are still happening, the traffic is still coming, and Gateway has never been stronger. The key is to allow anyone who wants to live in OTR a safe place to live. We are providing housing for all income ranges yet OTR seems to be having a problem keeping lower income people in its buildings because they want to live somewhere else because they had better options. We should provide the inventory, and we do, for anyone and everyone who wants to make OTR their home. The danger is making the "real effort" which traps certain people in OTR. Give them the inventory option, provide a safe and clean area and hopefully they will choose for themselves what is best for them and their family and that goes for any income.
  4. We are so close to Kroger now that I believe once development surrounds it then more and more will begin to shop there. But I am sure some do already. I also hope more and more people will begin to shop at Findlay as well. It is so close and such a great place that we are fortunate to have right here in OTR. On the flip side of Gateway residents shopping at Kroger, I hope everyone will continue in greater and greater numbers shop at the retailers at Gateway. We had such a overwhelming turnout the day after Thanksgiving and I think the word is getting out more about what great shops we have here.
  5. my husband went head to head with Nick Spencer for a long time over his saying his reasoning for leaving OTR was crime and had nothing to do with Nick himself. He went to Northside and look at what happened to him there in only a couple of months. Kaldi's story is much deeper than what is being reported and who knows, perhaps the neighborhood is partly to blame, but not entirely in this situation and Jeremy and Collette are great people and are going to do just fine in anything they do after this. I do not when presenting Gateway, or did Michael in presenting the neighborhood as a whole, over simplify the crime problem. We just keep others from over inflating the problems to excuse their own problems. PS I all floorplans for Urban Sites newest buildings on Main will be made available shortly on our new Facebook Group site under Gateway Quarter as well as all building and development updates.
  6. Information regarding the Gateway Quarter, including individual building progress, pricing, unit availability, retail development, future phase info, and Q and A section is now up and running on our Facebook Group page under Gateway Quarter. Feel free to visit us.
  7. The units that are finished are somewhat contemporary but if you got in early enough on one of the new buildings you might be able to pick out your own finishes. The buildings that are still under construction are Tri-Decca and the Main Street properties which is Urban Sites and they are very willing to work with clients.
