Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Friday, October 23, 2009, 2:57pm EDT | Modified: Friday, October 23, 2009, 3:02pm County ordered to fire Banks project lawyer Business Courier of Cincinnati A dozen Hamilton County judges have signed a court order that would terminate the employment of the county’s special counsel for riverfront development, effective Jan. 1. The order could end a 10-year-old relationship between the county and attorney Tom Gabelman. As the Business Courier reported in July, Gabelman’s work on stadium issues, street grids and other riverfront development matters has cost more than $16.5 million since 1999. http://cincinnati.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/stories/2009/10/19/daily74.html?ana=from_rss

Cincinnati: Random Downtown Questions
Because Vine used to be connected to itself but got turned into a dead end by Krogers. I guess it was meant to create a more pedestrian friendly place. It's halfway to the idea of creating a pedestrian only business district out of an existing bd which failed in most places in was tried.

Cincinnati: General Transit Thread
Looking at the locations on the red line in Fairfield near where I grew up, I think you picked good locations. Nilles Rd is a full, stable intersection but the justice center is located just to the southeast of the intersection and may serve as a good station junction. Another idea for some TOD would be to move the station north about 1/4 mi to Patterson where there is a large mostly vacant strip mall that the city is interested in redeveloping. Kemper Rd is heavily traveled but at least 1/4 of the intersection is empty and another 1/4 could easily be obtained.

That's what I was thinking. And the Gateway Condos are a terrible comparison, they are built like a little fortress to avoid the neighborhood.

I'd add Oakley to the list, many young families find it to be a good alternative to the more expensive Hyde Park
