  1. i'd like to go on record as hating the nippert expansion plans. i'm coming to terms with the inevitable loss of the press box, but the design just falls flat. i don't know how to do it better i just don't like that one. i like the new shoe though.
  2. that would be a nice addition to the region
  3. ^my sister who goes to ohio state was not happy about that. which made me happier about it.
  4. there is no way simon properties operates 2 of the same outlet stores that close together, be it saks or tommy or guess. i can't help but think that they've got some sort of plan for cincy mills once they empty it out with the new outlet mall. i mean, they've got to right?....
  5. yeah it looks really good i was thinking about the lack of a gateway in the gateway quarter. maybe they should get one of those

Well I don't think I've hit the expansions and add ons like you all but I was honestly pretty let down by the game and really other games like it. The system for success becomes pretty automatic and I get bored.

  11. Grammer's in Over-the-Rhine is going to re-open this weekend. It had a bad fire a couple of months ago, which completely destroyed several parts of it. Owner Martin Wade planned to re-open as a full-scale restaurant after cleaning up and demolishing the damaged parts. But the kitchen was too badly damaged, and they'll be open instead just as a bar and just on the weekend. For now. They still hope to serve a restaurant menu, as soon as they finish the repairs. There will be brats and metts and a few other items available for now. Open 4 p.m.-2:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday. 1442 Walnut St., 513-421-8300 http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/section?Category=blog14&plckController=Blog&plckScript=blogScript&plckElementId=blogDest&plckBlogPage=BlogViewPost&plckPostId=Blog%3a1921648a-c77d-4218-b8c1-5af7ab309046Post%3a09b0bef9-93fa-4e55-b725-9108d692e113&sid=sitelife.cincinnati.com
  12. Those are some expensive apartments. There is so much cheap housing around, I'm not sure what the other new developments around UC charge for rent, but I have a 3 bedroom on Ohio for 995 and last year had a 3 bedroom on McMillan for 750.

Didn't see a place for this.... Cincinnati Parks has recently completed a master plan for the second century of public parks in Cincinnati. The University of Cincinnati is working with Cincinnati Parks and Uptown Cincinnati to develop specific plans for parks in Uptown. As part of this process, graduate student teams from the College of Business are surveying those who live, work or study in Uptown Cincinnati. The teams have developed an online survey to collect this information. We would really appreciate it if you would complete it by clicking on the online site noted below: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=eWF0QMmd1C9evA6fV2sxiQ_3d_3d The questionnaire will take about ten minutes to complete. Your answers will, of course, be anonymous. Thank you so much for your help!

  16. and another one bites the dust... Steve & Barry's expected to close Steve & Barry’s, which operates four stores in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, is going out of business, according to a report Tuesday by the Wall Street Journal, citing unnamed sources. The Port Washington-based retailer, known for its bargain-priced, celebrity endorsed clothing lines, has laid off most of its corporate staff and is set to announce it will cease operations and seek bankruptcy protection, according to the report, which cited two people close to the situation. ^ROW costs and not being able to provide access to every single location are hardly unique circumstances. Transit doesn't run in the black anywhere. That doesn't mean it isn't important. It provides mobility for those without cars, takes strain off of roads, and reduces emissions into the environment. It also encourages growth around stops, which can be used in areas of decline, or to create more livable communities in new growth areas.

i kind of like the food court conceptually (picnic on the river), but whoever did the interior of that mall had absolutely no taste. it's so tacky, it's unreal.

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/09/opinion/09gore.html THE NEW YORK TIMES Op-Ed Contributor The Climate for Change By AL GORE Published: November 9, 2008 The inspiring and transformative choice by the American people to elect Barack Obama as our 44th president lays the foundation for another fateful choice that he -- and we -- must make this January to begin an emergency rescue of human civilization from the imminent and rapidly growing threat posed by the climate crisis. The electrifying redemption of America's revolutionary declaration that all human beings are born equal sets the stage for the renewal of United States leadership in a world that desperately needs to protect its primary endowment: the integrity and livability of the planet.
