  1. That makes it sound like the bank will be on the upper level of the Starbucks, facing the parking lot, which works because I don't think Starbucks needs or wants another floor. Oh and it shows a drive thru, I don't drink coffee, but do Starbucks have drive thrus? I'm sure the bank would appreciate it.

What's the payroll look like now with Dunn and Griff gone?

Seems like a realistic trade for someone who wasn't going to be back next year, though I'm surprised there weren't at least a couple teams interested enough to get a bit better return. Guess it's time to turn the page on Bowden's Reds, and that can't be a bad thing.
  7. It says it's the first in the US with that type of seating, that's saying something, especcially with all the other great components of the ride. Top thrill dragster was (is?) the tallest and fastest roller coaster and it's lame. Up. Down. Done. I'd rather the focus be on the quality of the ride than some pissing contest about being 5 feet taller for a year. It sounds like a good ride, only time will tell. I think Ceder Point is compensating for something ;)
  8. There is an elevation issue with the current rendering that wouldn't allow short vine to be extended even if the store was moved back, and I doubt they want a street running through the parking lot. This is basically the same layout as there is currently and it hasn't been helping anybody. New only stays new for awhile, good design makes things work continually.
  9. wtf?! you ain't kidding about the diminishing quality
  10. not bad at all

2, ohio is just such a sexy shape
  12. What do you mean?!? There's already a great art feature on the Cincy side of the bridge! I kid, I kid.... As for what is now parking across from what will be One River Plaza, I think it is owned by One River Plaza folks (although it could be the owners of the Sawyer Point Building, my memory is a little fuzzy.) The problem is, it is also in the path of the proposed rail of the Eastern Corridor project (A train would have to go through that property to be able to maneuver through the bridges and into the riverfront transit center) so I haven't heard of any real plans yet. Also I think that is Pete Rose Way right there, it changes to Riverside Drive further east

I doubt Dunn goes anywhere, we're not exactly stocked on outfielders when we have to look at putting Patterson in. As for Junior, it's a good opportunity for him. It doesn't look like either player picked up is worth much but eeven though the Reds are picking up the rest of Junior's contract this year, they won't have to pay the buyout next year, so it's a small cost cutting move. No way Phillips moves to short, sorry Rando
  15. When I heard the name I thought that they may be thinking the same thing. Even just a small park with a "soapbox" in it could be a really cool place for groups and individuals to use as a forum.
  16. Woah, yeah, I guess they better do a bit more site work if they're expecting things to settle that much. Or maybe it's just a parking garage meant to reflect Kentucky's rolling hills.
  17. ^^ Covington's new development (though not as bad) is still tricky to maneuver through as a pedestrian ^ Yeah, the floodwall makes things harder, but there seems to be a lack of effort to create even a decent walkway to connect things
  18. Are the new condos in Dayton (KY) and beyond in anyway connected to NOTL? Everything along the river in KY seems to be individual islands.
  19. ^^ Despite what the article says, I doubt it would be closing if it was raking in cash. And the point of my comment was that many things are closing around the Levee, like Tropicana and Pacific Moon ^ Good call. I'm all for late night skylines anywhere I can find em
  20. Hollister closing at Levee http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080724/NEWS0103/307040052 The better question is what isn't closing at the Levee these days?
  21. Isn't Bigg's local?
  22. New plans mulled for Fifth and Race http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080722/BIZ01/307220093 Ultimately, the city will seek proposals from national developers interested in building a mixed-use project that would probably be anchored by housing priced affordably for young professionals. Interesting...
