  1. Woo! I also feel vindicated! Vindication all around!
  2. Recruits like quality facilities. I would include practice fields into that mix. So I would say that practice fields should help.
  3. How do you know if it's glass or not? Glass is clear, so is nothing.

  8. This is the first I'm reading about this. These all sound like nice ideas but lets be honest, it's hard to pull off one of these ideas (shared office space, artist space, business incubator, etc) let alone 4 or 5. It would be awesome if it works, but does any have any idea about who is behind the project, their track record etc. Also, though I've driven by the area before I'm not super familiar with it, is it a good place for something like this? There just seem to be a lot of questions.

  12. The painter we used at Glasshouse did some good work. I'm not sure how cheap he is. His name is R.J., I don't have his card handy but his email is [email protected]
  13. It should be a great day for Cincinnati to see the progress down at The Banks and QCS!
  14. I'm surprised Union Center is closing. I thought everything in West Chester turned to gold.

  18. Conventional Planning May Be Contributing to Cleveland's Decline Samuel Staley Tue, 03/16/2010 - 14:41 Reason.tv has launched a multipart series of videos on how the city of Cleveland can turn itself around using free-market approaches and limited government reforms. Unfortunately, the video format didn’t provide enough time to explore the ways economic decline fundamentally challenges the concept and practice of urban planning in older cities. In a companion analysis, I discuss whether cities facing more complex and dynamic development environments need less conventional planning and more flexible, market-oriented land-use regulation such as the framework in play in Houston, Texas. http://www.planetizen.com/node/43388 Discuss

  20. Noticed this in the monthly report: • Laura Fuller Glass, a stained glass artist, has now opened in the former City Roots space at 1133 Vine St. Laura is the sister of Carolyn Deininger, co-owner of Mica 12/v, and is visiting for an undetermined time from Maine. • Good Fellows: commercial space leased to vintage clothing store, Atomic #10 Anyone checked them out/know if they've opened?
  21. Maybe it can move to the banks in a couple years
  22. Free standing Bass Pro's are actually pretty impressive. They look like giant lodges. So maybe that would help with the Wal-Mart vibe.
  23. I hope the job is as great as the view!
  24. Lions and tigers and ... caterpillars? Cincinnati Zoo began with birds brought in for pest control By John Johnston • [email protected] • March 2, 2010 Say what? The Cincinnati Zoo got its start because of caterpillars? And people once worried that the park's location was too remote? http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20100302/LIFE02/3020327/Who+knew+...+this+about+zoo?
