  1. Just an update. I finally talked to the owner of Cornhole Etc. and should be receiving my game in the next week or so. I was probably WAY too nice to him but my persistence paid off. I had a rebuttal letter sent to the paper and it would have been posted tomorrow, but since I talked to him and straightened everything out, I decided to pull it. Thanks exurbkid for the suggestion of writing a letter to the editor. It really was the only way to get this guy's attention.
  2. So I saw the article that Seth Cox wrote to the paper... I don't believe for one minute I will see the product that I ordered. Of course he's playing the victim. I am not the first person this has happened to according to the BBB so he has done this in the past. If he had 5 minutes to respond to my letter in the paper, then why couldn't he respond to just one of the many emails I've sent to 3 different emails addresses I have for him? Also, I have stated that if it's easier to refund my charge card than to ship out the game, then I would be o.k. with that too. I have been nothing but nice in every single email and voice mail to him and he refuses to respond me. At least I got some kind of response from posting in the paper, but it's unfortunate that I had to let the whole town of Wilmington know how he runs his business. It was never my intention to bad mouth him or put his integrity into question. I just want my $165 back.
  3. Well, I'm not too sure about this guy being long gone.... maybe bankruptcy. I've had other people telling me that they didn't think this guy would run a business this way and I also heard from another person that there is another guy who also owns this business and they see him coming and going from his store and that both of the owners are involved in cornhole competitions around town. I paid by charge card back in December. I guess I'm out of luck. After reading your post, I went and checked out their website and so now you can't order from them, which makes me feel a lot better anyway. I don't expect my money back or even the game I ordered but at least it won't happen to anyone else.
  4. I saw it! Although I might have missed it if a guy on the other message boards didn't let me know. It makes me a little nervous that I used the owner's name in my letter. It just makes me so mad that he's ignoring every email and phone call so he deserves what he gets. I am originally from western PA and i'll be there for a 6 wk stay in the next couple of months. I've thought about driving the 4 hrs. to Wilmington and walking into his store. You never know, maybe I will do just that! Thanks!

  7. Y'know, every time I'm around some real churchy or conservative people and they say "let's play CORNHOLE!!!" I really wince. I'm NEVER going to get used to the name of the game! :evil: Don't like the name either. We call it Baggo. ;)
  8. You're right, anything is possible. It still doesn't make sense to me that he would send me a very apologetic email stating that they were having computer errors and that they would ship my product to me asap and also said that he hoped that it wouldn't hurt our business relationship in the future. So who knows, maybe something did happen to the guy..... I do plan on sending a registered letter. We'll see what happens from there... Thanks a lot!

  10. Thanks a lot! To TheDonald, I appreciate the info you also gave on him. I've been doing a lot of research and actually found most of the info that you provided. I, again, emailed him but don't expect anything back. What really bothers me about this guy is that his website is still up and people can purchase from it. How much money has he stolen from people who order form his website? Anyway, thanks exurbkid. I appreciate it!
  11. Yes, I have called left many messages and now their mailbox is full so you can't leaves messages now. I have emailed at least 3 different addresses and get no reply. I wish I could drive over to the store and demand my board game but unfortunately that is impossible.
  12. Well, the weird thing is, I got an email from them in January apologizing for their computer error that they were having and that they would ship my product asap. I've responded to that email and another email from their website and nothing. I'm really frustrated about it.
  13. Has anyone been to this store or have any knowledge about whether or not this store is still in business? I live across the country and placed an order with them online back in December for a Cornhole Board Game which I never received. I have noticed that their website is still up and running and that you can still place orders online. I wouldn't want anyone else to get burned the way I did. :-(
