You got that right. Correct me if I'm wrong but our metropolitan area houses the largest collection of the best amateur boxers in the nation. Or once did. A boxing arena would flourish down there.

^LOL ...and to think, we almost became the next Chicago at one point. Cincy is rockin' right now;) The steel is shooting up fast at The Banks too. Looking good.

Oh trust me I'm all for the caps. I just meant not having them for the immediate future;)

TheHemroid replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionI hear ya Kennedy. Most of the nightlife shot over to Walnut and places near it leaving Main street for the ghetto nightlife like when Annie's had "Sizzlin Saturdays" lol. They need to rename it leaving Belmain in the title. Dunno, might be cool.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Fort Washington Way Cap
I actually think people will ignore the fact of no caps. The Banks will have such a big draw that walking over the highway won't be a huge deal at all. For all we know, that area could fill up with concession stands instead.

He either meant bus exhaust fumes or dirty people lol.

I think parking garage cost is all in people's heads. Its expensive no matter the city or project. People complain about Cincy parking daily and when a garage is actually being built, they didn't expect reality to hit them in the face.

I think it's all psychological. If you let that stuff bother you then it will...and all of the time. If you invite a bunch of hot girls over or own noobs in Halo or watch a ton of fighting movies, you're golden. It'll blend in lol.

I remember a few weeks ago Mallory visited Washington to talk about the cap project. Any news on the money issue or what happened

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
Its funny because when you go 75 south into downtown, QCS looks like a midget. You drive through the cut in the hill and it'sa damn beast. That elevation is killin it.

Even though its almost done, still wish there was a rendering of what it would look like at night with lights inside the tiara.

Any news on the office tower there? Are they waiting for a tenant to sign before construction or is that thing going up first regardless?

It's because people are lazy and can't walk a few blocks to their destination.

Plus, once the lighting goes on after its complete, seeing it at night will be much easier.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Holiday Inn
Ya know I've always wanted to see a building go there anyway. I'm a big fan of triangular buildings on corners. NYC is full of them. They look so cool.

Whoever chose that curtain wall made a great choice. It seems the building takes on a different character at all times of the day. Sunlight looks great against it. It's the best looking transformer ever:)

Yea I agree^ The ONLY place I could possibly think of for a tower would be next to the old SCPA. If that building won't be converted to anything, that's a good chunk of land but there's plenty of uses for it besides a tower site.

This is my new favorite thread:) I have a few suggestions. Let's see a tower in place of the parking garage with the spinning clock next to QCS. One at 8th and Sycamore. Plus, See if you can tilt the view so we can see downtown looking North West and plop some towers in along 8th street going towards price hill. There's so much dang flat land over there. Might be cool;)
