  1. Who knows...within 30 years, downtown might get an 800 footer to overlook the entire region;) Hmm how cool.
  2. Yea I'm pumped for the park. The design is great. Wow guys, in a few years we will actually have some legit parks people can go to downtown.
  3. I think people are getting their panties all up in a bunch about the height of this building, "fatness" etc. Bottom line is we all need to shut up and realise that QCS too will not look fat once the crown is added. Le's step back and look at it. Sure it's not a 700 or 800 footer but for terd's sake, it's a beast and a pretty one at that!
  4. Newbury street is my favorite out of those. The outdoor cafes littered the street. Too bad they took out the Virgin Records:( anyways having a bookstore, grocery, or a big movie rental joint would be great.
  5. ^but what would be reeeeeaaaaaalllly cool would be an FAO Schwarz. The one in Chicago is awesome and I know it would bring an influx of parents and children down there.
  6. I bet if an H&M went in down there, people on both sides of the river would be going nuts because they wouldn't have to drive to Kenwood.
  7. No offense to Smitty's (he's a really nice dude) but at least those crackheads won't be hanging out in front of that place 24/7 anymore.
  8. I think it will all be enclosed in glass so it'll look like a shark with frickin laser beams attached to it's head;)
  9. ^Yes, it's tall, it's cool, anywho...One thing I noticed that the drawings don't really show is the horizontal bridge portions to the tiara actually jut outward. It looks really cool. from the side view. You can see it if you drive by the building and look from the side.
  10. ^No actually it was going to be shorter than 665 feet (correct me if I'm wrong) but somewhere in the development stage I heard that two more stories were being added to the actual building. Bottom line is the building alrady looks kickass.
  11. I think people are getting annoyed at the word "tiara" it's being abused and the final design looks nothing like a tiara. It actually reminds me of the front cover to the Jaws novel lol.
  12. You gotta talk to the cycloptic colleague
  13. We could call it he "super cool round-shaped thing going on top"
  14. People are complaining before a building has been built. It'll look great in our skyline and people will still say it sucks because they'll stick to their guns and not wanna be proven wrong lol.
  15. You're a funny guy Sandpit;)
  16. Broadway Commons could turn into a madhouse and I mean that in a good way;)
  17. ^Well the real question is what kind of retail is good to have around a casino to begin with. Could be interesting. Something for younger crowds? older?
  18. ^Exactly. I actually met someone that lives in Norwood and hasn't been downtown in literally fifteen years. The media has driven people to view downtown as a giant jail for years. I think their eyes are about to be opened. A few friends of mine live in OTR too and I love the progression. One thing I noticed above everything else, original thoughts of QCSII looking stupid from the renderings are quickly being smashed. People are eating their words becaus even with the curtain wall not finished, it's an amazing color at dusk with the sunset;)
  19. LOL Civvik it's ok. Those people obviously have never been to the east coast haha. They'd get chewed up and spit out by those drivers;)
  20. Dirty sandpit. It's taking A month because the tiara will weigh 400 tons. Secondly, It will be difficult to construct. The curtain wall construction hasn't stopped since they started it;) It's a big building.
  21. people are forgetting that the crown isn't there yet. It'll give it more height.
  22. Yes Hash you're right. Those are the first visible areas of store fronts and the apartments will be on top of that. Don't worry people because the parking garage will be completely covered;)
  23. LOL^ So true Jmeck and when the Banks is completely finished, they'll go downtown and see it and go "when the hell did they build this?" hahahaha happens all the time.
