Drove by today. I didn't realize that parking garage was going to be built up as high as it is. It's still great to se the progress and NOT see a giant gaping hole with mud and grass. Any news on the height of the future office tower? or the tenant? probably to early to tell.

Jack there's no sarcasm. They've been installing that curtain wall for almost two months. They have to go floor by floor that's why it doesn't look like they've done much. Trust me man, it's getting done;)

But hopefully, once the economy gets strong again, a company will see QCS and realize they can build here. After all, isn't the land here very cheap to build a headquarters? It's all about a positive chain reaction. You have more entertainment and things to do which brings more people which brings more need. Tenants have a big influence too.

Yea now that the garage foundation is pretty much finished, things will be moving along quickly now. It's amzing how much time goes into foundation though. Super important. Just think, 2 years ago it was mud and grass there.

Well Scrabble, I did hear they will be using different colored lights in the tiara part. It SHOULD look very nice. I think what people are realizing is that this building is alreay looking way better than they anticipated.

I agree with scrabble. However, I think old schoolers in Cincy need to suck it up and face the fact that Carew ISN'T the tallest around here. So many people in this city are petrified of change. If they built a 70 story tower downtown, people wold claim that the land is sinking under Carew making it seem shorter lol. So many excuses. Carew needs a really cool spire like Empire State. Flagpoles don't count because you can poke them on the top of any building lol.

Don't worry guys. That orange brick won't come out nearly as vibrant as whats shown in the renderings.

These are good ideas but honestly, I don't think these super centers would actually fit at the Banks. Literally. Is there seriously enough room even for one Target store???

Jack, my opinion is someone is just too damn lazy to hook up the webcam so they'll put it on the back burner until the BOSS tells them to put it up. It sucks but happens all the time. They'll give excuses like.."wiring is bad" or "weather conditions" bla bla bla.

I think our downtown will be getting more condo and apartment towers than actual company towers within the next 5-10 years. You have to remember before the "recession" we were making way for quite a few of them. Edge and riverfront. I think once that market heals, talks will begin again. The good thing is Cincinnati's land is cheap for a company to build on. It's one of the cheapest in the country right? QCS will be the tallest for a while. I'm happy with it. It all boils down to if Cincy if fun to go to. Get the streetcar and Casino (which will happen) and then we can start looking at mass development.

They need to do something with that hill because that poor excuse for an asphalt walkway is horrible. It looks like a left-over lava flow from a valcano.

^ I've thought the same thing!!!!! well let's think about the space surrounding QCS. There's that parking garage. But also there's the huge lots in front of where The Edge was to go. Hmm who knows. QCS will be awesome when finished. Let the competition begin.

Yea this is awesome news. I heard the tiara construction will be a pain because of it's shape but should look great.

Yea when it comes to OTR, people won't live there at all unless they physically see progress happening around where they want to live. Promises don't go very far when trying to change the perception of OTR. The streetcar should help that area a lot though.

I was thinking that too. I was also wondering what will happen to those crappy buildings when you drive down Reading off of 71 right next to BC. They overlook the huge lot and would probably make really cool restaurants.

It helps to sleep with eye covers or a shirt over your head. It keeps bright lights from illuminating your eyelids which keeps you awake lol.

Yea thanks for the pics! This tower is looking cool. The curtain wall will really help it pop once finished. I think naysayers are starting to realize how much better it's looking than originally thought. A rendering can only show so much.
