  1. It's amazing how fast the steel is being erected. I happened to look at the webcam pics and they had 1 up on the floor they're working on. Two hours later they have 9 more up. It just goes to show how much more time is put into foundation work than anything else.
  2. Yea I think it is Prok. It'll probably be enclosed stairs or something.
  3. Once complete, they will probably combine lobbies or at least a floor or two. That would suck if you worked on the top floor of the smaller building and had to go to the top of the taller one.
  4. I noticed something the other day. This tower will be quite taller than renderings show. If you take the smaller tower and stack 2 more on top of it, the crest will still be taller than that. Go across the river or somewhere with a good view and measure with your thumb or something. It's going to be pretty damn tall.
  5. Morlein is a CINCINNATI beer, not an OTR-only beer. In my opinion, they can put the brewery anywhere they please downtown. It's about bringing people together, not creating 2 OTR's. It should be fantastic when finished:)
  6. Well what I would love to see more than anything is a vibrant Corryville. Vine used to be bustling out the ears back in the day. Kroghetto just isn't helping one bit.
  7. This thing is cookin!
  8. Movin' on up!
  9. ^Your absolutely right. But I've said it before and I'll say it again. There are people in Cincinnati that can't stand the city. They want to see it fail. They love negative comments because they feed off of it with the mentality of "see I told you so" If they actually set foot in OTR, I'm pretty sure their perception of the place would completely change.
  10. The fact they want a grocery really says something. I'm now convinced that keeping people at The Banks is one of their big priorities. This is a very good thing.
  11. If you guys haven't seen how it's actually done, go down there and watch if you can. It's pretty damn cool. But I was driving down Sycamore the other day from Clifton and I didn't realize how much of a presence this building will have once it's built. Plus that hotel at the old red cross will help too;)
  12. If the building is tall enough to look like it should be scraping the sky, then just call it a skyscraper lol.
  13. I think these homeless people are pissed because the neighborhood is getting fixed up and they can't stand looking at pretty things;)
  14. They wouldn't have done any new renderings yesterday. They only reviews what we've already seen. But if they keep going at their pace then we should see some very soon. It's nice to see the review board pushing the designs further!
  15. The majority of the people working at The Enquirer don't like Cincinnati. They get a kick out of everyone complaining about their articles, so they keep doing it. On a positive note, you really dont see how friggin' massive phase II really is until you stand next to it!
  16. BD your right. The problem is there are those certain people that no matter what you say, just want the city to fail. They like seeing things like The Banks fail because they want to sit back and say "see I told you so." It's sad really. BUT, the great news is Cincy has such a positive momentum swing right now with all the construction, that all the bashers are running out of things to complain about. I happen to fall into a random conversation with a bystander during a Reds game, and she said all of the buildings of the Banks and QCS will be too tall lol. TOO TALL. People around here are scared to death of Cincy actually turning into a true metropolis and destination. It's ironic considering thats how Cincy started out. People here think tourism, tall buildings, streetcars, and taxes are the devil hahaha.
  17. Ha it would be quite funny if we look at the crime in OTR all these years and find out it's because of one single spot. Take it away and the neighborhood transforms very quickly. We can dream can't we? :) but one can't ignore the progress down there.
  18. ^That's because nowadays everyone is obsessed with saving money when constructing just about anything. Those old buildings in OTR not only look better than half the stuff out today, but would survive a tornado no questions asked.
  19. Not trying to be suspicious. It's just that I've hardly ever seen anyone going in or out of there. But they're probably nice people none the less.
  20. Hard Ta Knock always seemed shady. I hardly ever saw anyone go in or out of there. That place didn't belong there at all. Let's see something cool go in there. I'm totally stoked Five Guys is in Clifton now!
  21. Yea to get an accurate height, just take QCSI and stack 2 more on top of that building. The crown will extend a little beyond that at the top.
  22. ^Yea I noticed it too. There's a few tractors there. Hopefully they get things rolling soon.
  23. As long as they keep a mix then it's great.
  24. Well maybe from the parking garage at least;)
  25. They'll most likely knock that wall out in the smaller tower so you can just walk over to the bigger one from inside.
