Cincinnati: OTR - City Home Project
This might be shooting for the stars here, but I wonder what OTR would look like with a couple apartment or affordable condo's in 15-20 story towers. Yea it would mean tearing down some old buildings but it could add some variety there and give one hell of a view to the business district.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Holiday Inn
One more thing. YOu guys ever hear about plans to build a condo tower on top of that white colored building on Broadway and 7th? it was build to house a taller building on top. It's adjacent to that big parking garage behind the red cross. There are renderings I think.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Holiday Inn
Oh I remember now! yea that building is fuggly times ten. Well, hopefully it can spark development in those two gigantic lots across the street. Those lots have potential too have something massive. Maybe QCS will spark more HQ's to come in.

Anyone have a pic of the red cross building or where this corner is? my mind is working for shit this morning lol.

Cincinnati: Corryville: University Village
Well it looks like the layout will still be better. You have to realize that the reason people don't like it isn't because of the layout, it's because 90% of the stores there are ghetto and the landlords don't give a shit about the places. When is the last time you've seen the Kroger floors or property cleaned?

Cincinnati: Corryville: University Village
I wonder if having the new Kroger will completely change the types of people that go there. Sad to say but ghetto people make the surrounding place ghetto. So, if this is cleaned up, I'm sure the people will change. Kind of interesting. Where's the nearest ghetto Kroger they all could go to? the one on Warsaw is being completely redone. Looks like they're s%it out of luck.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Smale Riverfront Park
Black Bengal, could you imagine if we still had the Cincinnati Royals too? jeeeeeeeeesh talk about an entertainment hotspot. Our riverfront would be a mad house.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Smale Riverfront Park
Actually that's a fantastic pic of the city because I want to do an illustration of what Cincy will look like in the year 2120. Thanks J!

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
TheHemroid replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionI'm surprised they dont already go around and see which can's are full. Would it cost that much more money for the city to send a truck around and look at trash cans? c'mon.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Rando, the Enquirer comment was priceless:)

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Washington Park
^I don't think Council is dumb enough to let any kind of transit slip away for downtown at this point. For once, I actually feel confident the streetcar will happen verrrrryyy soon.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
...And remember, 2 years can fly by. By 2010 the downtown riverfront will look completely different...and we won't even be seeing the entire Banks project completed until years from now. Good things coming;)

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Washington Park
^Exactly. The park, SCPA, all that stuff are small steps for a bigger picture. One has a positive snowball affect on the other.

TheHemroid replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionPeople also forget to realize that shootings in this city are no different than shootings in any other midsize to large size city. I think people around here hear about one killing over the weekend in OTR or near it and think "Oh God there has been no progress, I'm still gonna hide in the burbs" it's pretty ridiculous. The mentality of this city is pretty much like Minority Report...if Mallory doesn't start a Pre-Crime division and keep Cincy 100% murder free for a few years, we'll still have negative turds saying bad stuff about Cincy. I think we're doing great and will only get better.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Washington Park
City leaders have finally set aside arrogance for once and are getting a lot of stuff done. We don't need anymore petitions.

TheHemroid replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionAwesome news. Gateway is really expanding.

Cincinnati: Clifton: Development and News
I think it would be foolish to skip ANY major street in Uptown.

Newport, KY: SouthShore Condominiums
I've seen worse. You should travel to downtown Stamford, Connecticut. That place is the single ugliest downtown on Earth. South Shore would be worshipped as a highrise God if it was placed there lol.
-
Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
I've often wondered if The Banks will have a bigger impact on downtown living, or attracting tenants. Once built, I assume condo towers or apartment/loft/condo renovations will occur very close to the spot. It could very well filter out to the North of downtown if the south side gets saturated. It's very exciting to see all of this happening now. Cincy is finally taking off.

Cincinnati: Crime & Safety Discussion
The majority of people loitering outside of kroger won't bother you. They're actually quite funny when you get to talking to them. Most of them don't work and are on welfare. They hang there because they're bored stiff during the day.

Newport, KY: SouthShore Condominiums
All I know is new towers will dictate how future buildings and areas are constructed to keep certain views of the city. One tower is built, so another taller tower is built so you can see over the first one. I predict Cincy and NKY using the natural hills for some very very cool high rises. NKY and Cincy skylines could be changing drastically within the next 50 years.
-
Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Well I don't even drink but if The Banks had a place where they brewed beer right on the river, that would be a hot spot...and pretty damn cool.
-
Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Well guys, Jack, all development takes this long especially when its this big. The site has been completely cleared and they had to move out all the equipment. Now they have to transport new machinery back to the site including a crane for the garage.
-
Cincinnati: Corryville: 2600 Vine Redevelopment
Ah. I gotta get things sorted out. That fenced off area that used to be the rundown parking garage, that was supposed to become a Golds Gym right? so what's going in place of that?

Cincinnati: Western Hills: Development and News
Does anyone have renderings or photos of the site where the club and restaurants are going?
