Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
I like it a lot. I just like buildings with cool colors on them in general and we have some pretty sweet buildings. It definitely gives this giant brown turd some life LOL.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
Lol I forgot about that. When is that going up?

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
That logo is midget sized compared to what the human eyes will really notice. It will be a mammoth building and I don't think any passer-by will really give a crap about the logo on top. Anyways, party hat or not, WE have the skyscraper with the crown and no other city does. Let's be proud of that and the fact we get a new skyscraper!

Cincinnati: Downtown: Smale Riverfront Park
Uncle Rando I couldn't have said it better myself LOL. This is a riverfront park, not a yard for people to layout and roll over in dog turds.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
All my 27 years this place has been a mudpit. It's going to be awesome and yet, very strange to finally see it developed. When they get that first garage in, no more half green/half brown muddy shite hole. I think I might have to go down there and just stand for 45 minutes in disbelief lol. I can't wait.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
I can sum this up without all the fancy talk. If you put section 8 housing at The Banks, it will be a secluded section of which nobody will walk and garbage will be everywhere. Section 8 WILL NOT be anywhere near The Banks ever. Witte wants attention, he got it...and its not what he thought it could be. Period. End of story. Lets drop it and talk about the cool stuff happening like THE BULLDOZER DOWN THERE TODAY FINALLY TURNING OVER DIRT! http://207.250.90.73/view/index.shtml

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
They've started to rip up the ugly cement foundation already...weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
-
Cincinnati: Downtown: Fort Washington Way Cap
They should cap the top of the purple people bridge and have shops on platforms too..that way it could be a double-decker shopping bridge. Saaaweeeeeeeeeeeet.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Well thank God they're still building it. I just saw more trucks and a few bulldozers park at The Banks today.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
There's tons of space for the projects in Cincinnati. Why does Witte want that crap at The Banks when it would do absolutely no good to have it there in the first place. The lack of common sense in some of our business interests is astounding. It's like the building height issue. Why would Kroger or CBS complain when they can't even see 3 blocks away at their tallest floor lol.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Witte wanted attention and he got it. But its negative attention. His lack of common sense astounds me. Hats off to Mallory for stating his anger and not being stupid. For cryin' outloud our downtown has plenty of surface parking lots to convert to affordable housing. The usable space on Broadway Commons alone is borderline ridiculous. The Banks is about a new beginning with a foundation for positive and high property value. We don't need a section that will turn into a garbage dump with people throwing their crap all over the street because they can't seem to see trash cans. No offense to the section 8 people that are responsible and hardworking...but for the most part, we know where it goes and The Banks sure as hell doesn't need it.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
TheHemroid replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionThat would be a very very cool place to house lofts. Or maybe construct a similar or exact building right next door in that open lot.

TheHemroid replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & Construction^Or you can scoop all of them up and put them on an uninhabited island so they become nature's problem lol. (got to love No Escape)

Fantastic news. Is the old foundation those posts that are underneath the Red's Hall of Fame? you can see them if you look at the property from the side.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
TheHemroid replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionLOL! funny article! don't let this get into too many minds of OTR residents, or we'll have more riots involving them destroying their own neighborhood. Well actually that can help with demolition of some of the buildings LOL!! oh man.

TheHemroid replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionWhat are they building in place of that old yellow carryout building that has already been demolished?

Cincinnati: Downtown: Fort Washington Way Cap
As long as we keep the same people in council, EVERYTHING will take years lol...and I think there's is an over abundance of proof for that;)

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
TheHemroid replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionLaw enforcement needs to do a clean sweep of ALL those businesses with the clusters of people standing outside. They all probably have owners or workers that deal drugs or help in the dealings some way, and since the street cleaners, cops, and pedestrians are petrified in walking down there...it will never be cleaned. 3CDC is doing a great job downtown and hopefully that Gateway Quarter and renovations will keep moving farther and farther down that street. There are some super cool looking vacant storefronts there that would be great for businesses to move in. Once that happens then what do we have?...a cool neighborhood emerging WITH a grocery store;)

TheHemroid replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionMrsAWeeks, those people could care less about the nighborhood. They aren't there to "live"....they have other things on their minds.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
TheHemroid replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionThe funny thing is people say we need a grocery store downtown. Well, when you get the streetcar in and the area gets nicer and nicer...suddenly it's presto! we have a fairly nice grocery store thats easy to get to. I do still think we need one at 5th and Race. That's a shame. Psshshhhhhh put a Tower Records there or something...ANYTHING!

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
TheHemroid replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionExactly. I went to SCPA all through highschool and I walked over there several times a month. Those people aren't mean or looking for trouble, they're just bored sick and hang out there all day(but people are super affraid because they, think oh no big groups of black people...RUN!. I say give them all a vendors liscense and cake the street with it...haha that might be kind of fun. You gotta go experience streets like that in NYC to know what I'm talkin' about.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Two things. One, All the grumps need to quit worrying about how we're going to pay for the streetcar. It is brought up so many times and it does absolutely NO good to continue to complain about it. Cincy leaders, although they do take eons to do anything, aren't stupid. Anyone that opposes streetcar is just ignorant. Go to NYC for a day and experience REAL mass transit. People that think we Cincy people are stupid are just arrogant outoftowners that think they know more. Secondly, Regardless of race, OTR is filled with people on wellfare that hangout all day on the street corners. Yea it looks bad and suspicious and thats why everyone is scared to go down there. If something was done about the retarded amount of loitering then even more people would be going down there.
-
Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
TheHemroid replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Southwest Ohio Projects & ConstructionYea that store is rad and a good thing for OTR. Now all we need to do is keep getting stores like that down that street(and neighboring streets) and NOT be scared to go to that Kroger;) am I wrong? the loitering that goes on on the street outside is absolutely ridiculous. Thats the reason everyone is scared to go there.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Well in addition to this article and the loose ends, do you expect any physical construction to start before June? or do more of those "loose" ends have to be secured before the bulldozers move in?
