Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Even though we have a long way to go before build out, I think it's safe to say the Moerline Lager House might be THE anchor for the entire Banks.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
That's true but at the same time, these areas will probably attract younger people (whatever age really) that don't mind loud noise. People complaining now will have to get used to it because downtown isn't letting up any time soon.

Height will come for Cincy over time. I'd rather have a building that has some bulk and that looks powerful rather than a skinny needle. Besides, QCS look magnificent in the evening sunlight.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
I'll answer your questions. It's a live/work/play environment. People will live there, they will visit, and they will work;) it caters to all ages;)

I doubt it would be a Dewey's. There's one in ludlow and one at the AMC.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Just saw this on cincinnati.com excellent news. I remember when all of those terd faced naysayers were saying no tenants will sign there.

You have a point. Building designs grow on people over time. A lot of people were absolutely disgusted with the Ascent design claiming it looks like a giant zebra in our skyline. But now they appreciate it's diversity. QCS will definitely grow on people. A lot of buildings have tons of different features to make them the tallest in any city. Spires look cool but that's also a "cheap" way to claim it. Same thing with plopping our flag on top of a building.

I don't think it matters to if apartments are near the business district. You want more people living near the core anyway.

Cincinnati: Northside: American Can Factory Lofts
Yea I agree. Man what really sucks is I keep going back to the Cincinnati Subway days and reading about how Northside was going to be connected to downtown via the rail. After living in Boston and seeing Harvard, Harvard Square and the subway connecting it all the way down Massachusetts Avenue to downtown Boston, I jus shake my head and think about th vast potential we have as a city.

oh wait...nevermind lol

Very cool. I take it that the enclosure means GAI logos on both sides? and I had no idea it was getting a flagpole. Interesting.

The Banks is moving along so nicely. Ha do you all remember the day when we first saw a tractor start churning dirt? now look at it.

Eighth of State, HAHAHAHAHA

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
Ha how 'bout this. Will QCS spark another tower in place of the garage with the spinning clock? hmmmmmmm;)
-
Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
Very true. Well at least it looks awesome when light hits it. I can't complain;)
-
Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
But then it would look funny because it wouldn't match the tower with it being so close.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
You people should hear the old farts complaining that Carew is still the tallest because it has 49 floors and QCS only 41. Are they lacking common sense? I'm convinced that people on the cincinnati.com forums just flat out hate this city but are too stupid to move away lol. This building is beautiful.

I thinks it's all in people's heads.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Smale Riverfront Park
^Yea but construction workers know best though when it comes to that. It's all covered in the budget anyway, might as well make it new;)
-
Cincinnati: Downtown: Smale Riverfront Park
Seconded. The thing naysayers aren't getting is the fact of us having these things in place so when the economy heals, the foundation for us to grow is that much stronger. Out of all of these changes, not seeing the gigantic mud pit down there is my favorite part. Building that casino and getting that bigass ugly parking lot out of there will be a close second;) There's not one single city in the midwest that can brag about development as much as we can right now. The potential for Cincy is almost scary.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Fort Washington Way Cap
Ha, makes you appreciate the term "New York Minute" everyone there knows how to walk fast. Shoot, in 30 or so years we might adopt a "Cincinnati Minute" saying.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Fantastic. I see they added the glass on the tiara. Good stuff.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
^Hey, anything to get rid of that spinning clock Larry;)
-
Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
It baffles me why you guys think this building looks fat.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Seven at Broadway
Once that casino goes up, look for a huge change with the surface lots in the immediate area. St. Xavier Park will probably be long forgotten however, money talks and Dan Gilbert might have a huge say so if he decides to talk with P&G and owners of other lots. All I know is there's plenty of room down in that area for craziness. Residential, retail you name it. That's a bigass lot behind what was supposed to be The Edge too. I could be wrong but, wishful thinking neve hurts:)
