  1. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong here, but as I understand, it will continue in one mile segments west at a time. Supposed to help with drivers get acclimated to the lane changes.
  2. Looks like a warehouse for Bob Evans
  3. Whoops my bad sorry
  4. Silly question, but here it goes, there are two pretty good size lifts up on top of the building that they are using to assemble the tiara. Are they leaving those up there? After they put on the last piece today, it looks like there might not be room to get them out of there.
  5. Now that the tiara is taking shape, to me the building is looking really big. During construction every time I looked at it I kinda said "meh..." but now that the skin is on and crown taking shape... wow.
  6. Wonderful pictures. I just love to stare at these types of old pictures. Thanks!
  7. Ok that does not make sense, something weird there if people are offering to buy but they are denying those offers. Agree, if someone comes along and takes over the property before it gets demolished by the owner then go for it. But if an owner of a property wants it gone, then that is their choice, but i would try to sell before destroying the property. That is a good assumption, and maybe what they are looking for since they refused offers to buy the property. I suck at trying to make a point typing, I would rather talk face to face, I make better points then. :yap:
  8. I know I am going to get slammed here but I am going to write this anyway... I understand the history here and the signifigance of this property, but... This is private property is it not? If all these activist want it saved then pony up the money to do it. If the foundation does not want the house then they can do what they want with it. This alludes to nothing. All it says is that the Foundation is not interested in preserving it. We all know they got the money. Correct, it is not for sale unless you write a check for it. Write a check and it is yours. Where is the controversy? My home is not for sale, but if someone offered me a check or cash money, SOLD! Again, I know I am ruffling some feathers here, and I mean NO DISRESPECT to anyone here just stating what I think even though it is probably wrong. Go ahead and abuse me in the post to follow....
  9. According to state law the only places a CCW permit holder is not allowed to carry is , schools, government buildings, daycares (or places with a daycare inside) and class D liquor license carriers. Anywhere else you are good to go. Now obviously business owners may put up a sign themselves that prohibit guns on their property. http://www.ohioccw.org/'>http://www.ohioccw.org/] http://www.ohioccw.org/ [url=http://ohioccwforums.org/]http://ohioccwforums.org/ Lots of info there for Ohio Concealed carry. Not sure if it has been answered yet, but opencarry of a handgun is perfectly legal in the state of Ohio. No permit required.
  10. Awesome find, thanks for sharing!
  11. Wow this is pretty sad, I went up there in the mid 80's with my parents to stay there for the weekend. What a great place to stay. I was just talking about Quaker Square with my wife not to long ago about taking a trip up there with our boys to stay there and see the train stuff. Damn.
  12. I bike to work from Hartwell to Mt Adams tues - friday. Been doing it for close to 4 years now. I am fortunate that we have showers at work now. Before that, I would cleanup using babywipes and a washrag. Once you get going and in a routine it is pretty easy to do. Sometimes on really rainy days or extremely cold days, I take advantage of the bike racks on the metro buses. I drive in on Mondays to drop off a weeks worth of clothes and take them home with me at night rolled up in a bike rack bag. I think I got a good routine going.
  13. Yep, home sweet home Hartwell. Let me know when you want to do Hartwell, I'll show you around. It is a pretty decent neighborhood. Mixed middle class and lower income. Low crime.
  14. Northern Cincinnati Neighborhood here. http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=39.209038,-84.468770&spn=0.003933,0.008011&t=k&hl=en
