  1. I lived in Musselman Hall, in Upper Plaza, exactly ten years ago, this year. I'll miss that little bunker.
  2. Ipsilon replied to a post in a topic in Urbanbar
Based on how he feels about other issues, he was already a Republican to begin with. No loss here.
  3. My monthly passes will be ready Nov. 1st. I'll foot the three-dollars-a-day for the week before that. :)
  4. I'm getting some folks together to check it out tomorrow.
  5. The only reason I don't believe stations aren't intended is the way they are finished. The platforms with stations have a large concrete pad in the middle with brick on either side. Obviously there were a lot of special features during that pour to allow for the electrical lines for the emergency beacons, fare machines, bolts for benches, the concrete beds of the stations, etc. These don't have any of that... they are completely finished in brick. Well they can't be real stations then without the POP stuff. Maybe they're just a place for clinic employees to pop a squat, eat lunch, and watch the buses go by. Prrrrrrrrrrety.......... :-D theres no benches on the platform though. Is this the case for both the eastbound and westbound stations (at least what should be stations), or just on the one visible in the above picture? Neither of them have benches or trash bins or access hatches for utilities. My guess was that, since that corner isn't used as much, they didn't bother with all the fancy stuff. I don't know, though.
  6. The other two stops (on either side of 93rd) are the same stations as the rest of the line...
  7. Yeah, I was mistaken. Sorry. It's the platforms on either side of 100th Street.
  8. After work, I made it a point to go down 105th so I could see these stations. There are shelters up from the Walker building all the way down to 93rd. I don't think the photos we were looking at show them, but they are there.
  9. look at the first and second pics. those are right out front of the clinic. They are, but you said "by the Clinic's main entrance." The spot in those photos is nowhere near 93rd.
  10. Both platforms have stations in front of the Clinic... you can see them both in the third picture that redbrick posted.
  11. Oh, that's right. I remember reading about that, now. Thanks.
  12. On Saturday, I saw BRTs running down the street with people on them. Their signage didn't say "Training" like they've had for a while; it said "Public Square" or "Stokes/Windermere." I thought the busses wouldn't start running until October 25th. Was this a sneak peek?
  13. Relax. I was talking to the doc and her throw-up smiley.
  14. Hey... Mentor's nice. For a burb. Some people might be from there! ;)
  15. Cleveland looked pretty friggin' slick on Sunday Night Football, last night (quality and outcome of the game, itself, notwithstanding).
  16. The East Coast in Mentor doesn't close in the Winter any more. At least I don't think. I know I would walk through a blizzard for Mint-chocolate chip Thursdays. Believe it.
  17. I'd only accept a Marc's if they (or at least that location) started accepting plastic. A little overhead goes a long way, folks (Aldi, I'm looking at you). Ice Cream is a must, as well. I think East Coast would do really well somewhere downtown, if not on E.4th/Euclid.
  18. I didn't know the Reserve Square store was so big. I'll have to check that out... even though I'm in WHD, right now.
  19. I meant Colonial Marketplace.
  20. Nope, none that I've heard. Honestly, I don't think there is a space with enough size around East 4th to support something like that. You're probably right. And you have a good point about Constantino's and Reserve Square and CVS. But, still. I think a real, live grocery story would complete the neighborhood. There's a LOT of empty space inside, er, Colonial Plaza ( ?? the arcade with Quiznos in it), and those three retail spots at 551 Euclid could be merged to make a decent sized market, no? Just a pipe dream. I like your pipe dream :-D. I'd ditch the Ohio City Dave's in a heartbeat for a larger grocery store downtown. Amen, doc (and, thanks :)).

  22. McC, is they any talk of a grocer going into the area? That seems to be the only thing missing, now, and I'm seriously thinking about moving to E.4th when my lease is up, next year.
  23. He can rest in peace. It's not a private space. Where are you getting that? Just because there's no walkway around the grass and reflecting pools? What about the sidewalks just feet away on either side of the allee? What about the HUGE entrance with benches and landscaping? What about the sidewalks down Euclid Avenue that are now really well lit at night (I just drove down Euclid last night... very nice)?
  24. Euclid is now open from Downtown to E.105th.
  25. THIS! IS! CLEVELAND! No one grabbed that one, huh? I'm dissappointed.
