Cleveland: University Circle: Cleveland Clinic Developments
Take heed to the fact that these buildings were designed with patients in mind, not passers-by. Once you see the views from the patient rooms and the pavillion on the roof, I bet you'll change your tune. I've been up there. It's awesome. Trust me. I would take photos, but... I don't know... There are benches in key places. I doubt they'll put them around the reflecting pools, but there are benches all around the front entrance. Retail will follow soon. That should make it more accomodating for a busy public space. All of this, plus the landscaping they're doing for Euclid corridor makes this one of the best looking intersections in town. It's certainly my favorite, and I challenge any of you to find a better one. Look at this picture from the PD, reposted from above: Awesome.

This is the kind of answer I was looking for. Thanks. :)

Cleveland: Development, Now & Then
Whoa. I just wanted to start a discussion about Cleveland and it's past. I'm not talking about numbers or money or anything. I was just wondering if there's always talk of projects like this, and I'm just discovering it now, or if it's, in fact, kind of historical or unprecedented that all of these things are about to happen. Sorry if it's in the wrong forum, but I thought it was city discussion.

Ah, Doc! You cheated! Although, I didn't know the Peter Pan reference, so, you get half of a no-prize. :)

Cleveland: Development, Now & Then
I love the fact that it seems as though, in every corner of Cleveland, someone is planning some sort of redevelopment project. It makes me proud and excited and, I'll say it: giddy, at times. I can't wait until everything comes to fruition. It seems like there is so much about to happen. But, has this all happened before? Is this new? Is the fact that all of these projects are in various stages of "about-to-happen" something new? Or has Cleveland always had a roster of projects that are this close to happening and never do? I'm not trying to bring any one down or kill any buzzes or anything like that. Far from it. I'm probably one of the biggest fans of every project that's being talked about. Flats East Bank, Convention Center, Euclid Corridor: Let's do it. Breuer tower, Avenue District, Warehouse District: how can I help? But, since I'm new to this urban development thing (and a relatively young citizen of the Cleveland area), I wonder if projects like this have always been talked about (or at least since the last big successful project: Gateway) and most never get done. I know some are getting done. Avenue District and Euclid Corridor are almost finished. Flats Eastbank is going to happen. So, is this different, as I hope? Or is it more of the same? Cleveland history-buffs, I'm looking at you... what do you think?

Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
I don't think so. If I remember correctly, the shelters are on the curbs after Stokes, and there should be two lanes. I may be wrong, though.

Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
As I was walking into work, today, I noticed something new...

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
Whoa, there, boyo. :) Don't lump the Clinic in with the Forest City f*cks. The Clinic wanted to make traffic circles on Euclid at 105th and 90th (or thereabouts) to make the new entrance a little more peaceful and pedestrian friendy. The city said "no way, Toby" and the Clinic backed off on that.

Who do we have to kidnap and convince that this is a bad idea? ... Did I say kidnap? :wtf: :-o

Cleveland: Downtown: East 4th Street Developments
Somedays, I think I live in the land of broken hearts and shattered dreams. :) Seriously, I'm in Bridgeview. Edit: NOTE, I said meeting girlies. Not succeeding with them. :)

Cleveland: Downtown: East 4th Street Developments
As a twenty-something "whippersnaper," as MTS put it, I like E. 4th a lot better than Warehouse. It's just that the odds of meeting the girlies are better in Warehouse. :(

Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
Wow. That's all I can say. Thanks for that. :)

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
Oh, I'll be sure to start tresspassing through there, this weekend, now! :)

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
You mean, other than this? I can try. Might have some time on Saturday. Sunday's booked with a trip to Cedar Point (first time in a long time). If I'm reading this correctly, though, you want me to TRESSPASS? :)

Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
Take your time. If I can get away with posting FEB photos nearly a week after I said I would, you can get away with that excuse. :)

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
Yeah; my pictures are a bit misleading. It was Sunday afternoon, so there was absolutely no activity. But, if I were to go back every two weeks, there'd probably be big changes at each increment... (that sounds like a good idea, Ipsy) Yeah, you know, I might just do that...

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
I just stuck my arm between the gap in the gate to take a couple of those. Unless the evidence is hiding behind the piles of dirt, I don't think any infrastructure work has been done.

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
Here are the photos I took of what's left of the East Bank, last Sunday. I'm attempting to harness more of the power of Google, and I just started acquainting myself with their photo-hosting site, so let me know if it worked out okay (rather than the linking I've done in the past).
