  1. See? I wasn't seeing things after all. :)
  2. I don't think one needs credentials to say whether or not they like the aesthetic of a structure. Some people like it; some don't. I like it.
  3. Walking back to my office, I glanced out a window and saw a Healthline bus heading west on Carnegie. It was the first time I'd seen one "in person," so to speak. Just thought I'd share.

    Hah!
  5. Here's something fun... Before: After: More photos to follow this evening.
  6. Nope! Sorry, w28th ruined it for all of you. Just kidding. Here you go. ;)
  7. Oh. Well, you can't see the picture, then. :)
  8. Oh, yeah. I wasn't thinking. Sorry. :-/
  9. Council OKs Westerville Plaza plan Wednesday, July 9, 2008 By LIN RICE, ThisWeek Staff Writer In its last meeting before a summer hiatus, Westerville City Council Tuesday night gave the green light to a major construction project in the South State Street corridor and adopted an ordinance requiring the registration of some rental properties within the city. Approved 7-0 was a preliminary development plan for a renovation of Westerville Plaza by the Casto Organization. It will cost in excess of $9-million, according to Casto associate Charlie Fraas. Plans for the renovation call for demolishing an approximately 11,000-square-foot section of the shopping center and the construction of a new 16,461-square-foot addition to the Kroger store. 10. There's a big blue fence up around the building on the E.9th side. I have photos. Coming soon.
  11. I'm pretty sure there're substantial Indian and Jewish populations there, too.
  12. I took some photos on Saturday; I just have to organize them. Bear with me. :)
  13. That'll work. It should also be noted that the water in the fountain is pretty choppy. There may be jets in the donut that may shoot straight up at some point. Only time will tell.
  14. It can be the Clinic's designated smoking area. We're on a roll! Maybe they'll let it freeze over in the winter, give the squirrel a break, and let folks ice-skate around it? ... Yeah, I just killed the volley. Sorry. :)

I have to say I'm getting more and more inspired by your experiment, too. And I don't have to go out to the edge of existence for work, either, so I don't have that excuse. :)
  16. Hah! Love it. Don't tell Toby, though. :) Agreed.
  17. Thanks! :)
  18. I will find out more about the donut. I don't think it's finished, but the photos I took don't suggest there's any sort of apparatus in the middle or around the permiter to make it more fountain-esque. To be continued...
  19. Wait-- the donut-pool or the square pools with the boulders in them?
  20. They are going to contract out the water-skiing squirrell, and he's just gonna ski in circles all day. :) I'm pretty sure it's a fountain. I don't think it's quite done, yet.
  21. More Clinic contstruction photos, on a much nicer day! This is a better shot of the front door that I promised. Hard at work... Trees at attention. The fountain has been filled... Close-up of the fountain. Reminiscent of Sea World? Ready for water and grass... Not quite there yet... Signage is on its way up. This is just a beautiful shot of the skyline on a summer day, from the seventh floor of the 93rd Street garage. This one's a special treat for all of you. Enjoy.
  22. My shots pale in comparison to MayDay's, but I took some photos of the Clinic segment's proress... it's coming along! Looking west (most of Euclid is blocked by trees and buildings, here. Sorry...) Looking east... The first shelter to appear... Still churning along... I took some more Clinic construction shots, and you can find them in the appropriate thread.
  23. I second!
  24. I liked that design the first time... when it was called the Cleveland Clinic Heart Center. ;)
  25. That is a cool article. I happened to spy a shelter up between 97th and 100th as I was walking into the Clinic, today. I have my camera, so expect photos by EOB. The progress on the Clinic segment of Euclid has exploded in the past month. I'm really surprised.
