    Is that lightning bolt real?

But don't forget, your employer can sign up with RTA to auto-deduct the amount from your paycheck, and then you can pay for the pass PRE-TAX. Currently, my monthly pass only costs me $42ish. Definitely going to look into that. Bike first, though. I just want to get a new one whether I use it to ride to work or not.

After reading all this, today, I'm seriously considering biking to work during the nice months... then take the bus in the winter. If my car can sit in the garage all week, that'd be great. Plus, KJP, the monthly price of a bus pass is intriguing. Either I wasn't reading it properly, or something wasn't explained to me before but that's definitely cheaper than gas...
  4. I couldn't pass up this joke. I'm sorry. :)
  5. Yeah, that sounds like there's no way there could be any sort of leak whatsoever... Is that standard practice for this kind of thing? Do the pipes just vent out into the open? Is this ventilation all over the place or hidden out of the way at the site (I've never been to City View... I try to avoid Garfield and Maple -- even before I became anti-burb)?
  6. I would imagine it involved a two-story can of Lysol spray. :)
  7. Yeah, but they'll still have to come here for some things, I'm sure. Plus, most of the facilities over there aren't ready, yet. :) I'll try to get pictures once I can get up there. It won't be until September at the earliest. That's when we start moving computer equipment.
  8. Last I checked, most of it was to be finished by the end of 2010. Check this photo out: From what I read (and this was back in April), all of the white buildings in the rendering above were to be completed at the same time. The red buildings are coming later. And, of course, Eaton's still up in the air. Maybe those future parts are what put it up to half-a-billion, and the numbers we're hearing right now are just for those white buildings. EDIT: Photo is from the Plain Dealer.
  9. Also good. :)
  10. The more, the merrier, I say. All of those grocery stores are just a little different -- enough so that I think they can all exist so close together. As an example, I eat Nature Valley granola bars for breakfast. Constantino's doesn't have them. Dave's does. It seems like I have to go to Dave's just to get those (and a few other minor things). If Constantino's had them, I could walk for my groceries every time. All of those places will have some items that overlap, but I think they'll have just enough exclusive items that it'll be okay. On another note, this would also be another perfect place for a Chipotle, and I see with Brio and CPK, Stark doesn't have the same "locals only" ideas that Zaremba has (which are fine... but not very Chipotle-friendly :)).
  11. Truer words were never spoken of life at the ol' Clinic. Part of the upper floors will be the VIP patient rooms, which I'll also be supporting. I'm hoping to get in the good graces of some of Ohio's elite... or an Arabian oil tycoon. :)
  12. ...if they let us up there. I recently learned that I will be supporting the top five floors of the Heart Center (I do computer support...), which I'm excited about. I mentioned, at one point, that I'd be able to hang out on the roof. The general consensus is, that's probably not going to happen. Based on how strict they're being about stuff in that building, I won't be surprised if employees aren't allowed up there. We'll see, though.
  13. FOX8 said $230 million or something. Sounds like everyone's got a different number.
  14. X wins the no-prize. I guess some minor construction had started, or something, and the noise issues came to the forefront. Incidentally, my roommate's mom's boyfriend (got all that? :)) lives in those apartments and mentioned noise, once upon a time. This was before I met the chef, though, so he inadvertantly pre-confirmed what the chef told me. Whatever. Just get it done. That's gonna be my catchphrase if I ever get into politics or urban planning. :)
  15. Anecdote time: Through an odd series of conincidenses, I met the head chef of Blackfinn a few weeks ago. That place was already supposed to be open, but construction still hasn't started, yet, because residents above the space complained about noise. Due to soundproofer issues, he doesn't expect the place to be open until the first of the year. It sounds like a cool place, though.
  16. It's on my list of things to do this weekend.
  17. Weren't you saying something about answering one's own questions, the other day? :) Well, yeah, but he could've edited the video a little better. :)
  18. Doc, they totally cut you off in that video. What the hell? :)
  19. MTS and I hashed out our issues over PM and everything is fine now. I appreciate the support, but I think jumping on him like this is a bit of overkill, based on the initial incident. Florida Guy, I agree with you. I'm not worried, either. This is going to happen and it's going to be great. Fagan's is going to re-open? Cool.
  20. Yesterday really would've been a great day to take photos. I did take some, but they're through a window and, you know, it was gray and rainy outside, but it'll still give you an idea of how the allee's coming along. The circular entrance... A closer shot of the landscaping... More entrance... Progress on the reflecting pools... More trees lining the side of the 93rd Street Garage (JJ)... Pouring the platform on Euclid (also, so you can see how the allee blends with Euclid)... It seems to mesh pretty well... These next shots are taken from the Chester end of JJ (aptly called JJ North). The North end of the Allee isn't quite as far along... This view would be great if it were a nice day... As would this one... This thing was chugging along while I was taking photos... That's all I've got (actually, Strap, I got a close-up of the trees if you want to see it; it kinda sucks). I'll update when more landscaping has been done and it's actually nice outside. :)
  21. I hate that, too. I don't think there's every a time or a place to use that technique when writing or speaking. :)
  22. There aren't any justifications for that now. I hope the bellhop told her to walk her hoity-toity ass across Public Square to Warehouse. Or to East 4th. Or, hell, to the Lizard on Prospect. She's godforsaken! Okay. I'm done now; sorry. ;)
  23. By the by, it's "all of _a_ sudden." Thanks. Sorry. :)
  24. Thanks; I'll look at that when I have more time. *** I lied to all of you. I forgot my camera, today. I'll take pictures tomorrow. I promise. :(
