So, my friend and I were out and about in Ohio City a few weekends ago, debating whether to go to Great Lakes for some Eliot Ness or Bar Cento for some Dubel when we walked by Talkies and noticed a poster board up in their window. It was advertising a free showing of a comedy TV pilot ("A Guy Walks into a Bar") done by a local guy. Since we couldn't decide what beer we wanted to drink yet, we ended up checking it out. I must say I was rather entertained! Not only was the coffee delish (try the "Shirley Temple") the show was so funny! There were 2 versions actually - let me tell you, my friends, I shed some tears of laughter and my buddy said he almost peed his pants.
Anyway, the whole point to this is that I found out there is another free showing at Talkies on May 3 @ 6:00 that is completely open to the public. I'm definitely going, especially since I also found out that NBC/Universal is interested in the show! Yep. It's not too often you can say "I knew that show when"! Pretty cool, eh?
