Cleveland: University Circle: Cleveland Clinic Developments
Well my neighbor here in Shaker happens to be a big wig cardiologist at the clinic and he told me yesterday that Clevlenad refused to let the clinic build a skybriddge over Euclid connecting the new heart center with the old campus, so they are building a subterranean one supposofly with shops and stuff. He also had some neat renderings, if I can get a hold of them I shall post. Also, the Case residtial exspanion is boring and safe. Also, the arcitecht for the Clinic may be another nieghbor of mine, Bostwick of Collins Gordon and Bostwick, he used to be uner Ceasar Pelli and broke off, he has done many Clinic buildings and I wouldny be suprised if had something to do with this one, he also did the Cleveland Sewer building. Whoo, Im done.

Ohio's Decayed Cities - CLEVELAND'S HOUGH (lots of text and pics)
I dont like the direction its going in. Large cheap looking homes is no way to replace a once great urbane neighborhood. It seems the riots sure helped alot.

Cleveland: Innerbelt News
The idea they are propelling looks like a"submerged" highway system. This is exactly what was done in Boston and sometimes I forget the highway is there, and its a good thing. It helps to break down the mental concept of being enclosed and cut-off, in addition this idea of "world-class" arcitecture is great. Why not splurge and have Calatrava do the span, he would do something amazing, bridges being his specialty, and with the scale, can we say "landmark"?

Ohio: Casino / Gaming Discussion
NEO should say screw you state and issue bids for casino companies looking to invest and develop. What better way to garner some attention and attract some more dollars than have a little crisis going on.

Ohio: Casino / Gaming Discussion
Mayor Campbell’s push for casino continues From WKYC-TV 3 reports December 22, 2004 CLEVELAND -- Mayor Jane Campbell continues to work on getting greater Cleveland’s state lawmakers on board with her push for a downtown casino. The mayor hopes to have Ohio voters choose whether cities can vote to have casinos. She wants it on the ballot next November. She huddled with most of Cuyahoga County’s lawmakers. Most claim their constituents like the idea and hope the mayor can bring rival casino developers and racetrack owners together. “I just campaigned across Ohio … I think I can tell you that there’s strong public support,” said State Senator Eric Fingerhut. I've heard from my constituents when I've talked door to door that we need casino gambling,” said State Rep. Dale Miller. “The feedback I've been getting is very positive,” State Rep. Annie Key added. More at http://www.wkyc.com/news/
