Help finding street in Rocky River
Will do so, but I have this to report about my travels to the West Side. I had "Westfield" on my list of possibilities... I drove down Northview like the map says and it didn't exist! I went over the highway, past "Westway" and BAM, Hilliard. Whats that about? I saw a gated community near where it should have been according to the map but no street sign and the community was named something other than something beginning with a "W".

Help finding street in Rocky River
For the record, I did end up going to look for this chick on the three streets I pointed out... didn't see anything promising so I just ended up going to a bar on Detroit in Lakewood... VERY FRUSTRATING... until I checked my facebook on Saturday to find a friend request from a "Kara" from Rocky River. I LOVE BEING NAMED 'HOLDEN' makes me SO easy to find... good thing I don't have any mob debts. I will let you know how the "romance" thing goes... :) Glad I could provide some entertainment for everyone. p.s. I thought her name was Katherine so I am kind of glad I didn't find her on my own... would have been awkward, "Hey Katherine!"... "Um its Kara..."... "I'll be leaving now, is that the door?"

Shaker Heights, Solon best highschools in Cleveland area for national merit.
From my experience, spot on. Right now on my street, Carlton Rd., there is one family that has there kids in Gilmour (waited till 7th grade) one family that is sending their kids once they hit high school to Ignatius and one family who's kid goes to U.S. (has been at U.S. since 1st grade). The one family (the dad is Shaker Schools Treasurer) who send their kids to public, and their daughter is a National Merit Semi Finalist... ironic? haha

Xavier University Musketeers Athletics Discussion
http://espn.go.com/blog/collegebasketballnation/tag/_/name/032110-pittsburgh-xavier Xavier playing above 'mid-major' status: Three Sweet-16 berths in a row. MILWAUKEE -- As Jordan Crawford popped the front of his jersey and Dante Jackson waved the Xavier flag in front of hundreds of navy-clad fans, Xavier's band struck up an old but familiar tune: Aretha Franklin's "Respect." Whether the choice was conscious or not, it was fitting. Unequivocally -- not as a "mid-major" or "non-BCS", but unequivocally -- Xavier deserves your respect. With its 71-68 win over No. 3-seed Pittsburgh Sunday night, Xavier became one of two programs in the entire country to advance to the Sweet 16 the past three years. The other is Michigan State. Guess which one gets more ink? ...

The Ohio State University Buckeyes Basketball Discussion
If we beat the Vols, he is going to the league, no doubt. If we lose to the vols its a coin flip. Gramarye check this out, if interested. (im a huge recruitment follower, more so football) http://scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=9&c=14&cfg=bb&yr=2010 @Hts, DeShaun is a beast, no doubt! Sullinger just gives us depth at center we need. Lauderdale is a role player but he is by no means a beast.

Yup but to be honest I wouldn't be THAT upset... hear me out! ET said if we don't go far enough he would strongly consider coming back for this Sr. year... he is the type of kid that would. Only met him once but he was not arrogant at all and seemed like a real down to earth guy that enjoyed school. His family isn't rich but they aren't poor so he doesn't have 50 relatives that need him to make the jump... or pressuring him to do so at the least. Combine that with the #2 recruiting class in the nation next year for Thad Matta with highschool Player of the Year Jared Sullinger among others... WATCH OUT. Leadership/Raw Talent/Skill/Veteran Experience? MMMMm- Shaker Heights, Solon best highschools in Cleveland area for national merit.
It is no shock what-so-ever. I was well aware of Shakers standing and recall a few years back when Cle/Uni Hts. was #2 on that list. Just goes to show you that inner ring suburbs really need to pay to keep a high caliber of city services. This is for many reasons not least of which is tax base. Most of those communities were developed before or early in the "car, sprawl" era and thus don't have the same commercial tax base that cities like Beachwood and Solon have, smartly, developed. I don't have a graphic to represent this but from people I have talked to Shakers city services are second to none. They come up my driveway to my garage and get my trash, have beautiful tree lined streets, one of the best library systems in America per size of city, top notch public schools and a police department that is annually ranked top in the region. Is it worth it? Depends on what you want in a community. I am in no hurry to move to Pepper Pike.- 2010 NCAA Tournament Discussion
Xavier pulled it out, wow, and Purdue without Hummel... Big Ten has 3 teams in the Sweet 16. Ohio has 2. Not bad for the good guys!- 2010 NCAA Tournament Discussion
I have Ohio State over KY in the final. According to ESPN my bracket is currently at 78.4 percentile. Only final four team that has lost for me is Nova, they blow chunks. Squeak by R. Morris and lose to St. Marys? Wow. Duke got such an easy route to the final 4 its not even funny. They will get stomped by KY in the final four though.- MAC: General Conference News & Discussion
Well if that is to be the case maybe they ought not go 7-9 in MAC conference play and get lucky in the tourney... Just sayin! That berth isn't promised... but kudos on a program defining win against the Big East Hoyas... not one they will soon forget in Athens.- Shaker Heights, Solon best highschools in Cleveland area for national merit.

I do like Shake Square's theater. Unfortunately, it seems like its never busy. The last time I was there was on a weekend and there was hardly anyone else there. Is this normal? (I don't go there very often.) Depends on the movie showings and release but it does fluctuate from being packed to some nights being a trickle. I remember when they came out with the digitally remastered Star Wars and I saw it with my dad at the Colony 5 BIG SCREEN before they chopped it up into all the tiny theatres it is now. The BIG SCREEN was huge.- Cleveland: Little Italy: Development and News
Um, I think it was the other way around despite what I wrote eight years ago.... http://www.americanmafia.com/Feature_Articles_241.html My point exactly, his death was the catalyst for bringing the Mafia down from Kansas City to Chicago to NY... Yeah, a guy who played at Indiana but kicked off the team for smoking weed and he gets a second chance to play at O.U... not trying to hate but how many Indiana (a premier college hoops program) caliber recruits end up playing in the MAC? Basset is a once in awhile type talent to play in the MAC and he is just now getting comfortable in O.U. This may be his last year of eligibility or second to last.- Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News

I'll probably end up getting banned here! haha If it ends up being Ohio versus Ohio State, I'm going to St. Louis come hell or high water. Or maybe Athens since I heard Court Street looked like Halloween tonight and they had to call in riot police during the middle of exam week. As Dan Patrick said, "They don't need a reason to party in Athens, Ohio, but they have one tonight." Sure don't, still looking for my dignity that I lost at "5 fest" two years ago.- MAC: General Conference News & Discussion
p.s. could you imagine if O.U. makes it to a match up with Ohio State and wins? They'll be no end to C-Dawgs comments. edit: just got a text message from my buddy adetunji who plays for O.U. talking smack saying, "see you in the sweet 16!!!"... lets go buckeyes, take care of business.- MAC: General Conference News & Discussion
