  1. Frontier is owned by Indigo Partners. The IPO is coming and the wait is no indication on the profitability of the airline.
  2. I wouldn't take much of what that guy says as the truth. He has obviously been wrong about things in the past and therefore his predictions for the future are pretty untrustworthy. I also don't believe that the Paris flight is in the 70% range. Delta has had no qualms about terminating flights out of CVG in the past and if our last trans-atlantic flight was that low in the loads then I believe Delta would have cancelled it years ago. I've also heard many Delta employees on the employee shuttle bus at CVG talking about how full the flight was. They never mentioned percentages, they would just say that it was completely full. Also, flights aren't always about the load factor, the yield is a huge player as well and since the CVG-CDG flight is not even close to being cheap I would guess that the yields are pretty high.
  3. Ultimate Air Shuttle will be starting 3x weekly service to MMU from BKL on January 17.
  4. Frontier plans new CVG flights Jul 19, 2016, 7:08am EDT Updated Jul 19, 2016, 9:34am EDT Frontier Airlines is adding three new winter destinations from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. The ultra-low-cost carrier will add seasonal flights from CVG to Tampa, Fort Lauderdale and Cancun later this year. http://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2016/07/19/frontier-plans-new-cvg-flights.html
  5. Allegiant will be launching 4 times weekly service to the New York City market via Newark (EWR) from CVG starting Nov. 16. http://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2016/06/28/allegiant-adding-another-new-destination-from-cvg.html
  6. At the corner of Red Bank Rd. and Hetzell St.
  7. Akron-Canton and Dayton both just got new service from Allegiant while Southwest withdrew some flights. If people fly them from there they will keep the flights and possibly get more. If they don't then they won't. It is up to the people to keep the flights offered.
  8. Both existing A and B will eventually be replaced with a new concourse. They are not keeping either one in the long run. C will be demolished along with Terminals 1 & 2 to make room for the rental car facility. And I absolutely agree that a rail system needs to run from the airport to downtown.
  9. But I think the issue is that having B be the focus then you have this terminal that juts WAY out into the airfield. Demo B. Recreate it on a smaller scale in A. Also, did I see provisions for two new runways and a rail connection? Those do exist in the Master Plan.
  10. So since most of you don't like the idea of consolidating all the airlines into one new concourse, what would you all do? And please be logical, there isn't going to be a new airport built on the Ohio side.
  11. It has ended. The new user agreement is already in place and being used. Delta isn't as dominant at CVG as they use to be.
  12. Allegiant is already adding another weekly flight to its seasonal Destin, FL flight from CVG. It goes from twice weekly to three times weekly because the pre-bookings are doing so well. It was just announced on Jan. 12th. http://www.wcpo.com/news/insider/all...ping-ante-on-cvg-service-to-destin The article is behind a paywall.
  13. Allegiant will be making its Savannah / Hilton Head flights year round when service resumes next month. http://www.cincinnati.com/story/money/2016/01/13/cvgs-hilton-head-flights-year-round/78739072/
  14. Taken from Mt. Adams today. To help with the visual of the height.
  15. Ultimate Air Shuttle is adding twice daily service to Cleveland's Burke Lakefront Airport (BKL) from Lunken Airport. The flights will be Monday - Friday and will cost $379 for a round trip. They have a special going on right now where you get one round trip ticket free with a purchase.
  16. Ultimate Air Shuttle is adding twice daily service to BKL from Lunken Airport (LUK) in Cincinnati. The flights will be Monday - Friday and will cost $379 for a round trip. They have a special going on right now where you get one round trip ticket free with a purchase.
  17. Lazy bastards. Lol, I'm kidding. I do natural gas and have for years. That big of a steel main does take a while to install and put gas on it. Those trees will be fine. Some of you would freak out if you actually knew how many roots get cut out of the ground on a daily basis.

Yeah I gotta say that their route map doesn't make much sense
  19. Is DHL here for the long haul? Jason Williams, [email protected] International shipping giant DHL appears close to signing a new contract that would keep the company's North American hub in the region for decades to come, The Enquirer has learned. DHL and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport are working out details on a new facilities lease agreement that could keep the company here for at least 30 more years. http://www.cincinnati.com/story/money/2015/08/21/dhl-long-haul/32137513/
  20. Just to sum this up, CVG will now serve as a maintenance base for Delta Air Lines, Endeavor Air, Allegiant Air, and PSA Airlines. If you want to count cargo then you can add Ameriflight, ABX Air, and Atlas Air to that list too.
  21. What airline and what is the average cost? SFO to? Delta is the only airline that flies non-stop to San Francisco from CVG. The Average one-way ticket price is $246 according to FlightAware.
  22. I like it. It'll hold less people but I think it'll feel a lot more packed due to the design.
  23. Allegiant Air growing again at CVG, adding jobs Jason Williams, [email protected] 12:12 p.m. EDT June 10, 2015 Allegiant Air is planning more growth at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport – and the latest expansion could signal the discount carrier is making a long-term commitment here. The Las Vegas-based airline plans to bring new jobs to the region by establishing a base operation at CVG early next year, The Enquirer has learned. http://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2015/06/10/allegiant-air-growing-cvg-adding-jobs/71008348/ This is great news. I wonder if this means that new flights and routes are coming as well.
  24. JetBlue has a mini hub there, so in addition to a destination, its also a connection point between CLE and points south (from MCO, they serve Costa Rica, Jamaica, etc). I assume if they started such a route, they'd time it accordingly for CLE folks to make connections there. Click 'see all routes' http://www.jetblue.com/WhereWeJet/?origin=MCO Ft. Lauderdale is their major hub down there. If you wanna make a connection to South America or the Caribbean then that is where you would do it. Not Orlando. A daily to San Juan probably would be a stretch. If they started it it would most likely be less than daily starting out.
