Ohio LGBTQ+ News
I don't recall anybody saying a thing about the Bible being the Constitution. If you morally believe that gay marriage is acceptable then that is your "Moral Belief." As I've already stated, people vote based on what they believe. You obviously believe that gay marriage is alright, but you must feel that way for some reason besides what the Constitution says. Those are your Morals. So your saying that the "other side" has only mentioned their "Moral Beliefs" pertains to you too. Plus nobody is arguing that the Constitution isn't the law of the land.

Ohio LGBTQ+ News
I don't want to get in the middle of your debate and I can't really say that I feel strongly one way or the other. I do not know any gay people so it would be immature for me to say that they cannot get married. But I can see where all of you are coming from on this. But Chadoh21, what you posted states that religion is not part of the law. It does not state that people cannot vote based on their religious beliefs. People vote based on how they believe and religion is based off of belief.

Newport, KY: SouthShore Condominiums
They only removed one of the two cranes from the first tower. Or is it at a different location? Never mind. I saw it again today but they were using the second crane to take down the last tower crane. So now the building will be craneless.

Newport, KY: SouthShore Condominiums
I saw that there was another crane at the site again. Are they starting on the garage for the next tower already?

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Has anybody heard anything about the low-income housing in the Banks again? I'm not sure what made me think of it today but IMO it would drastically hurt the whole project if they allowed low-income to move into the Banks.

Haha, I read your warning a lil too late. I got a ticket on Friday. Yes I was speeding so I did deserve it.

Newport, KY: Newport on the Levee: Development and News
I actually went to NOTL for the first time today, and there was nobody there. I didn't know if that was just because of the Taste of Cincinnati or not. I didn't get a chance to go to downtown though. I was disappointed. :-(

I like it but I'm surprised the photographer just couldn't walk to the other side of the table and get a better shot.

Gas Prices
KJP, You prove a valuable point and to answer your question. The drive is around 70 miles one way, give or take a few miles. Also, I'm actually kinda lucky in that I actually car pool with a guy who has a company vehicle and it only cost me $12 a week in gas expense. That is because the company takes a certain amount of money out of my crew leaders paycheck per week and the three of us that ride together just split the cost. But I'm just waiting for the day when they decide to tell us the we are going to have to leave the company vehicles at the shop and that we will have to drive in our own cars. I can't say that I would blame them, after all, they do have to make money too. X, I didn't mean to insult anybody and if I did then I apologize. Where I'm basing my point off of is the company I work for. It employs around 250 people if I'm not mistaken and nearly half of us are from Adams and Brown counties (the country). There is also another company that is our competitor that has nearly the exact same stats. I also know that most of Adams County residents are employed in or around the city, well at least the ones who aren't on welfare. Once again, I'm sorry if you were insulted by what I said but I'm just trying to state my opinion without starting a full fledged argument.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
^Very true. And like you said $2.5 to $3 billion is indeed amazing.

Gas Prices
Obviously some of you guys don't think about the people who don't live in the cities or the suburbs. What about the people in the country? We are the ones who do most of the dirty work in the cities but we can't afford to live there. I'll use myself for an example. I work construction in Cincinnati but there is no way that on my pay I can afford to buy a place in the city. I would love to move to downtown Cincy but it just isn't feasible, at least not right now. I'm not trying to start a debate but for people in my situation (and yes there are quite a few of us) just switching from car to bike isn't going to happen. Where I live gas is already $4.19 and I'm only 45 minutes from Eastgate where it was $3.95 just this afternoon. That is a big difference for such a short distance. And it will take a lot of development to get Adams County to be able to employ most of it's own residents. Especially when the politicians seem to think progression is a sin.

So nearly a $5 billion economic impact? Nice!

Every time I look at this thread I get depressed because I know it's just going to get worse before it gets better.

I can't say that I blame the Bengals too much for cutting him. Now if they could just do something about Chad.

Northern Kentucky: Random Development and News
I hope that they get built but I pray that they are attractive. I like the look of the Ascent but I don't think they should base the design off of this. Have there been any renderings floating around? I know it's new but I would just like a visual.

Cincinnati: Downtown, Fountain Square, Skyline, Covington, Roebling & Ascent
Awesome!! I loved them all.

Northern Kentucky: Random Development and News
Well, since I'm the one who obviously got everyone fired up on the topic with my comment then I'll go ahead and apologize if I offended any of you. My point was this: I just think that if they are going to build a plaza that is even remotely based off of Fountain Square then they should mention it and not act like it will be the first one in the region. Give a little credit where credit is due is all I'm asking. Having said that, I still don't think a large TV in Covington will bring many more people to the area so I still don't see the reason for it. As for the region, any development means progress, and I'm all for progress.

Northern Kentucky: Random Development and News
^ Um, you must be thinking about somebody else. I never said a thing about Ovation nor about any other thing in NKY. FYI, I've said that I love the Ascent so I don't think that I directly attack NKY development. I do, however, think that it's a little silly to put a giant TV screen in Covington mainly because I see no reason for it.

Northern Kentucky: Random Development and News
So they are trying to make their own Fountain Square now? Very original, "We don't know what to do now so lets just copy Cincinnati and build a plaza with a big TV and put some hotels around it. They'll never catch on."
