What are your favorite Ohio's midsized cities; have the best economies/futures?
I think Akron has the best economy of the mid-sized cities and likely has the less blight. It's future looks bright because of its forward thinking leaders. I am not sure enough about the others because I have not traveled this state enough and not kept up with the latest information in the form of economic development for them. Youngstown has had some revitalization downtown and in the city because of the shale industry and being in the Pittsburgh-Cleveland corridor with good transportation access.

Columbus: LGBT-Friendly City
I think it is great just to have Columbus get recognized for its large gay population, vibrant areas, progressiveness, open populace, stable economy, growth, the great OSU, and its mayor. The Midwest isn't just a bunch of hard line conservatives, hicks and farmers, but who really cares about what the coastal people think.

TV & Print Media Discussion
That's absolutely pitiful and the enquirer does need to cease operations or move out of the city as well. I definately agree with that. Ohio's best newspapers IMO are the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Columbus Dispatch, Akron Beacon Journal and the Toledo Blade. The Dayton Daily News is a shell of what it used to be unfortunately. Local tv news around the country is a joke. National news is too biased especially with MSNBC and the Fox ultra conservatives. The other channels are just ok i guess. Newspapers are the best source of news for local, national and international news by far still along with NPR and some magazines.

Dayton: General Business & Economic News
I agree and have always wondered why with Dayton's location and low cost of living why it is in such decline. Being near cincy, indy and columbus creates competition but the dayton area should at least being seeing some positive growth IMO.

What do you think of when you hear - "Dayton, Ohio"?
What I always think of first is does one of my favorite Ohio cities (Dayton) have a future or will Columbus and Cincy suck away the potential jobs and energy away from the city for good? No more Youngstown's please.

msp: u of m campus
Looks nice too me. Not too suburban but not extremely urban either. Nice for a college campus and being by one of America's best downtown areas is such an advantage. Love the new stadium too.
